Urinary bladder?

2 questions; 1) is it preferred to sleep in a recliner or the bed post op? 2) did anyone have improved bladder issues?

Also; your body is used to putting off enough hormones for your previous weight; this can cause mood changes until your body adjusts. Completely normal. I have surgery 3 days from now And I have given my husband the heads up!

I'm day 6 of liquid pre op diet; I feel your pain too; I had some phentermin in my purse and I have been taking it ; it really has helped me ; Not sure if the doc would approve but I almost had a breakdown on day 4; no energy; no food; no sleep; plus my life = crying spell! Plus I work in a bakery!

Day 5 of pre op diet! Today was good; I also took an apatite suppressant; because I work in a bakery! And yesturday day I almost couldn't take it; on top of being tired and off some of my medicine; I was a basket case; but making sure I could take them today I feel 10 times better; 6 more days till the big day! I know I can; I know I can; I know I can; DO THIS!

The nurse said the same thing 2 weeks; I'm like are you sure? She said the most was 4 weeks;????????? I'm puzzled; my friend had bypass last year; at her 2 week mark she had to have gallbladder surgery; total 6 weeks out of work. I'm kind of worried because we are 10 days full liquids prior to surgery and 16 days after full liquids. ( 5 of those clear only) therefor the gallbladder has nothing to work for and can cause stones. They found 2 small stones at the bottom of my gallbladder ; hoping he takes it at the same time. I will know I guess the morning of : 7 more days. Whoooo hoop!

My doctor is saying I will only be out 2 weeks; I just am not sure if that is long enough.

Also says in my paper work if we don't lose enough weight before the surgery they won't do surgery. I live in Mobile, Alabama; Dr. Weinstein will perform my surgery . He. Is a well known surgeon and highly recommended.

Sharon-this is my pre op diet: no ; I wasn't told to stop any medicine except aspirin.

On full liquid day 2, I have burped a lot ; anyone else have this problem? I have 10 days of liquids!

Day 2 of liquids ; bloated a little today; gotta getmore water in; although the restroom I have been visiting!

@committed2change- it's rough; I really want a different job right now; however I work with 2 people who have had bypass one 7 years ago lost 103 lbs and one - 1 year out and has lost 110! There is hope!

Day one not so bad as the day went on; hardest part is I work in a bakery!

They say anesthesia cause your period to come so even if not during surgery it most likely will hassle you just after!

I found crystal light energy ( has caffeine in it)! Starting it tomorrow!

Mobile girl here! My date is May 10, 2012. Tomorrow is my last day to eat regular food for the next 8 weeks. Monday starts full liquids for 7 days; then clear for 3 days.
