I couldn't feel my port but when I went for my first fill she said do you know where your port is I told her no she took my hand and said its right there amazing when I'm laying flat on my back is the only time I can feel it I was always sitting up when I tried to feel it

I was told in a class that thin sliced meat is harder to get down than getting a thicker piece and cutting it in small cubes and chew it a sliver of the thin can easily get stuck anyway it made sence to me

The same thing happens to me unless I drink a protein shake right before bed

Prior being banded I talked to my endocrinologist he thought the band was a great idea and has lots of patients that did well. He said if I failed it would not be because of hypothyroidism. Started preop diet 6/15 banded 6/26 I'm down 45 and go for my first fill 8/2 my endocrinologist said he would check my levels in October and would probably adjust it then. I had the band with plication 6/26 sine 6/15 I have lost 45 lbs I go Thursday for my first fill even though insurance will not pay for it my doctor does it free for now he believes that it makes a huge difference time will tell but so far so good

Not to alarm you but you need to go see your doctor that is a sign of leukemia but I'm sure it can be alot of other things

My doctor said post op no sf mints or candies the reason you get full on saliva leaving no room for Protein

I also slept on my stomach right after surgery and still do no problems so far

Whey is an ingredient I would google it and see if you are allergic or maybe it's some other ingredient good luck

Every doctor is different I was on liquids for 2 weeks post op shakes and cream soups now I'm on mushies for another 2 weeks and so far so good

Did your doctor not advise you on what and how much to eat my doctor gives us a notebook with everything we need to know and follow day by day week by week and month by month he is very good I would contact your doctors office and see what he wants you to eat

I think it was the third day when I got more progein liquids in the first day or two I ate mostly sugar free popsicles I think it's hard to get much down because of the swelling good luck and I hope you feel much better tomorrow

I'm addicted to bangles so I'm buying 1 silver bangle on eBay for every 10 lbs I loose working on number 4

I was just banded 6/26 and went to my post op appointment today I asked him if my band was empty and he said you have to put some in the band to make sure there is no air bubbles he said its usually 1-4cc

Banded 6/26 been on nothing but liquids since 6/12 finally I have my post op appointment tomorrow looking forward to being able to had a new taste it's not that I'm hungry I just want something different lol I'm counting the hours

Yes it is completely normal sip slowly after all you are still recovering and you could have some swelling just follow your doctors orders good luck

Was banded 6/26 with plication I have lost 36 lbs and I wondering if the plication is helping however I'm still on liquids I have my first post op appointment 7/12 I can't wait I'm alittle tired of this I'm ready to move on

Lol I'm just tired of the same old liquids but I'm hanging in there I go to the doctor Thursday I am very excited about this also I'm in Charlotte nc are you near by

Doctor Harold Cywes has a video on you tube about banding it's worth watching and he said most people have to lose 50 lbs before the band actually starts working and by then they are discouraged and give up I had the procedure done that he is talking about lap band with plication on 6/26 started preop liquids 6/12 and I'm still on liquids til 7/12 and I have lost about 35 lbs I'm tufting real hard to be successful hang in there and trust me I would love to have a hotdog today

I have 10 more days of post liquids I'm doing great when I started this journey I knew it wouldn't be easy but I made the descion to get the band and I'm going to give it 100% to make it a success I have seen great results and I want to be one of the success stories since 6/12 when I started by preop liquids I have lost 30 lbs and hoping to make it 40 by 7/12 doctors visit so I guess I have already detached myself from food. I went to the mall and bought a pair of Clark's artisan sandals to reward myself. Good luck I know everyone can get through this
