I have over weight since I was 9 years old. I struggled with my weight since I was in high school, losing a lot of weight my senior year and keeping it off for a couple of years. That is when the yo yo diets started for me. I have tried different diets, weight watchers, south beach, atkins, pills and even a medical weightless program. All worked for little bit but, with every failed attempt came more weight gain. When I got pregnant with my first daughter I did really good about not gaining too much weight til the end. After I had her it was even harder to lose the weight and I gained more trying to lose it. After I started have health issues, raised blood pressure, sleep apnea and feet numbness and pain it was clear that I needed to do something. When I had two separate doctors tell me I needed to lose 100 lbs, I talked to my husband and started resourcing on weight lose surgery. I found a surgical center and went to the informational meeting. From then on I was determined to get the surgery and lose the weight. It took me 5 months to get all the prerequisite done. I had to lose 20 lbs before the surgery but, I wanted to lose 30. The day of my surgery they weighted me and I weight 230 actually 30 lbs less. After the surgery I lost weight at about 10 lbs a month. I was doing really well and then the weight started coming back. I found out I was pregnant with my second daughter. I had a perfect pregnancy and only gained 24 lbs with her. I watched what I eat but, did let my cravings give in from time to time. Since the birth I have lost the 24lbs and am now focused on my goal weight of 135 lbs. To help my goal be more attainable I break them up into mini goals of getting into the next pant size. I gives me the reward of going and buying new clothes. Who doesn't like that!
