Where Is Everyone From?
Teriiann replied to SleeveShelly's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Idaho! -
How many of you had a change in taste after you were sleeved. I have not been sleeved yet, hoping for April of 2013. But I have been trying out different protein shakes and mix's. I just had a muscle milk vanilla cream that tastes pretty good. I'd like to start buying little bits here and there. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks Teri

My Husband Thinks I'm Copping Out
Teriiann replied to Scaredy Cat's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My husband is all for it. The only thing he has said is I will leave him when I get thin. We have been together for 30 years! I tell him I want to be healthy and I want not to be lazy when he says let's go do something. I only want to be where I was when we got married. At that time I was considered to be over weight. It's all new to him he will come around. -

You mean the second Tuesday of the month? This is the one at St lukes Meridian right? I just looked at the web site and I read second Tuesday of the month? I also registered for a 4 week course at St Lukes Boise for class............It said it was for pre and post. It was free and I figured it can't hurt.

Oh I still have 5 more Nut visits, Ijust started.........So won't be till April of next year I'm sure. But that is fine, gives me plenty of time to mentally prepare for this. FOOD is my friend and its going to be tough road but well worth it. And I also think once you start to slim down it just gets better and better not to want those bad foods. I am a Carbo, I love them carbs. I have also been paying close attention to when I eat them now. I get supper tired. So all in all, I can't wait!!

Hi! Welcome.........Wishing you the best! Keep us posted in how you are doing after surgery! I can't wait either even tho I go thru periods of wanting to back out, but then all I have to do is read positive posts and see awesome before and after pictures.

2.6 Lbs In A Week? Good Or Bad?
Teriiann replied to gettinMeBack's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree! And as good as it would feel to loose so fast that is a fear mine loosing to fast and not giving my skin to catch up! I will be 50 when this happens. -
Anyone who has BCBS have to pay an extra *3000* or any different amount to have * gastric * surgery? That is an additional to what your deductible, co insurance is. I mean surgery is surgery regardless of what kind they all are done do due to some sort of health related issue? Why I ask is I'm thinking of getting in contact with HR seeing if they will still have that when it comes time to renew OR see if they can drop this part. Sounds silly I know but I have seen other BCBS that don't have this *extra*

Survived Surgery - Maybe Home Today
Teriiann replied to LizInTexas's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Nausea? Is it the feeling of having the flu OR the feeling of eating something that just doesn't sit well. Have a speedy recovery! -
I'll be saying them for you as well!! Hope it works in your favor too..........Back in April our insurance company didn't cover the sleeve. I refused to go through with the gastric bypass. I stopped going to see the Nut, I had only seen her one time. Since then I have prayed that someday they approve the sleeve and they did as of Aug 1st, so the power of prayer does work. Keep praying!!! Good luck........
