    People In Green Zone

Hi everyone. I was banded on May 10th and haven't lost much weight (15lbs). I had 2 fills and going for my 3rd in a few days. I will have 5.4cc in 10cc band. I def eat a lot less than i use to and much more slowly. My questions is: is there any sign or body signals that you are close to your greenzone? Do you have to feel slight restriction prior to being filled? Or Does a greenzone just happen unexpectedly following a fill? Would i know im in the green zone right away? I've heard rumors that people lose a lot of weight quickly once they feel restriction- anyone experience this?
  2. Hi Everyone, I was banded May 11-12 and I just had my first fill today. I survived bandster hell but remained at the same weight as pre-op (15lbs down). I have about 60lbs to lose. I am 196lbs and 25 yrs old. I know the lap band isn't a quick fix but with healthy eating and occasion exercise and the "sweet spot" with the band fills, will the weight just fly and come off? Will I feel full and not have a desire to eat?? I am so afraid of failing. I'm use to following "strict diets" and now that I only have band rules to follow- i wasn't given food rules- I'm afraid that my weight will go up and this was all a mistake. I obviously want to be most successful. Does anyone have any advice or comforting words? Does it happen naturally or do I have to follow something strict?? When I reach my sweet spot will this be an issue? Will I constantly calorie count?
  3. My question isn't about rules...my question is more about the band and the way it works to help me lose weight. I just wanted to know people's experience with the effects of the band and their relationship with food.

    May Bandsters!

Hi everyone! As I posted before my surgery is may 11 and I am really struggling with my preop diet (protein shakes and a few veggies ONLY) although it's been so difficult and I'm on day 7 of my preop diet..I HAVE LOST 10lbs!!!!! In one week!! so happy!! Whenever I'm starving I just remember my dedication to following the rules and the success is shown on the scale!!! Im hoping for another 5-10lbs this week before my surgery! Anyone else have success like this on the 2week preop diet??!
  5. Hi! I weigh 201lbs and I'm 5'5. I'm sure I will lose weight during the preop diet phase and my surgery is in 2 weeks. Just wondering if anyone has been banded under 200lbs and how fast weightloss has been??!

    Liquid Diet

I am on day 3 of liquid shakes and HATE it. But I did find two ingredients to add to make them much more tasty..and u can use vanilla or chocolate powder... TRY THIS: it's like a Starbucks Frappacino! Invented this myself- it's amazing how creative you can be when you are STARVING and willing to try anything!! Ro's Liquid Lapband shake 1 vanilla or chocolate packet 12 ice cubs (or as many as you like- the more you add the more "slush" it gets!) 1 tablespoon instant coffee (Any flavours) 3 small packets of splenda (add more splenda if you like it sweeter!) 1 cup cold Water *use blender and purée icecubes into small chunks 10-15seconds. **use spoon to eat like ice-cream!! Soooo much more tolerable- barely even taste the "protein" shake!! Let me know what you think- If you have tried it!!

  8. Hi! I have my surgery may 11 and have a treadmill in my basement. I am thinking about getting a gym membership for weight training and an assortment of cardio but was wondering how exercise has effected your weight loss? Any tips on what exercises made you lose the most?? Anyone not exercise at all or minimally and still lost? ADVICE!!!

    May Bandsters!

Good for you!! Getting your protein is is half- the battle!! I spoke with my team at my clinic and asked about how many shakes at a minimum I can have because I'm finding it difficult to stomach them...she told me that a min of 2 packets a day plus some of the outlined veggies. I don't "potty" also so I am taking benefibre powder...doesn't seem to be doing much though my surgeon is so strick..I can't have broth or Jello either...only crystal light
