40 Fit and Fabulous Photo Shoot

This is my favorite picture from my 40th birthday photo shoot. I love this orange dress! My friends all call it my "40 fit and fabulous" dress.

40 Fit and Fabulous Photo Shoot

I know this picture looks like I have big horse teeth but I love it. I was cutting up with my friend Cindy, the photographer, and she really captured that in this picture.

Thanks! I can always count on you for a kind word.
  4. I'm sure it seems unreal. I would have never believed it myself pre-op. I couldn't believe it as I was going through it. It does sound wonderful I guess, but it is much harder than you would imagine when you actually go through it. This has been such a tough mental journey for me personally. I wouldn't change it for anything, but it is hard work, no matter what the haters say. This is not the easy way out!! Good luck to you in your coming journey!!
  5. I got the same way, on my own. Not because my doctor wanted me to drop more. I had tons of people worrying that I had now become anorexic. While I can see how easily that could be to slip into, luckily I am not. I talked to my doctor about it and he said I would get down to a weight I didn't like and then once I became more comfortable with maintenance I would bump up 5 or 10 pounds and stick in that range where I am comfortable. He was right! That is where I am. I freaked a little around the Holidays gaining between 5 and 10 pounds but I have done a decent job maintaining. Most days I am pretty happy with it. Bottom line, I think your scenario is very normal for all of us. Hope this helps!!

    Run!!

    From the album: 7carol3

My running buddy bought me this t-shirt. The picture isn't very good because I had to be a contortionist to take it. It says "Run for the Hell of it". The "e" in Hell is squished to kind of look like an "i". I guess so it is less offensive?

    Crustless pizza

I made this Friday night. It was awesome! I've had it for 4 meals now and i still have two pieces left. I love cold pizza and that's how I've been eating it. I'm sure it would be good reheated in the oven as well. I thought I would need something to dip it out of the pan with but it isn't dip-like at all!! I am shocked! It was very easy to make too, that's a bonus! "Crust" 1 - 8 oz. pkg. reduced fat cream cheese 2 - eggs (I used 6 Tbsp. Three Cheese Egg Beaters) 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper 1 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (I used Buitoni, not that powdery green container Kraft stuff.) "Topping" Pizza sauce of your choice to desired amount Desired toppings- I used turkey pepperoni, fresh mushrooms on 1/2, & diced ham. Finish with shredded skim mozzarella. I like it cheesy I probably used two cups. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13" pan with non-stick spray, set aside. Mix cream cheese, egg, pepper, garlic powder & Parmesan with a mixer until combined. Spread cream cheese mixture into prepared pan. Bake cream cheese "crust" mixture for 12-15 minutes until golden. Remove and cool for 10 minutes. Once cooled spread pizza sauce onto crust. Add desired toppings. Sprinkle topped pizza with garlic powder, if desired, and return to 350 degree oven to bake an additional 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and pizza is heated through. Cool slightly and serve. Yummy!!

    Crustless pizza

When I entered the recipe into My Fitness Pal and Lose It I entered it as eight (8) servings. Obviously a sleever who is just introducing these types of foods would probably get more like 16 servings out of it, maybe even more. My family loves it too so eight servings would not actually be accurate at my house. I can only eat one square approximately 3 1/2" x 3 1/2".

    Crustless pizza

Yes, you'll have to wait a bit. But soon you could probably make just a plain cheese version of this. Just a thought...

  20. I mix my crab with a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese. Sometimes I add veggies or Mini Babybel cheese cut up. Fresh mushrooms, onion, celery. Sometimes I cut up precooked shrimp and mix it all in with the Laughing Cow wedge. I have used almost all the flavors, garlic herb, French onion, Swiss...I don't care for the blue cheese or the queso fresco with the crab. I eat it alone when I'm being very good. With Triscuits if I'm in the mood.
