The Most Fantastic Protein Shake Ever!
Terrib replied to Scentsy girl's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
What a coincidence, I signed in here to ask about this very thing. I was using Unjury for awhile, then Nectar, but seriously after a little while, it's hard to choke them down. I was told I needed to use pure whey isolate. I was wondering if Visalis is pure weigh isolate. Anyone know, I only had a sip of it at a trial table the other day. -
Pushing my luck...
Terrib replied to Husky2Healthy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
We had our surgeries the same day. I feel hungry sometimes too, but I still have pain so even though I'm anxious for the 18th when I go on mushies, but also a little nervous. If it hurts I'll stick with the liquids. I guess the toughest part of those Protein drinks is their warm by the time I get done with them. So I froze 1 ounce skim milk cubes in my ice cube tray, and plop one of those in my Blender Bottle and it helps. Enjoy your broth too, it's the only food tasting thing we have at this point. lol I wish you the best of luck. Terri -
So I'm about 11 days out and had my first normal BM this morning. it was glorious.

How the heck did I gain a pound?
Terrib replied to Terrib's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks, I will... I know I need to chill a bit. Instant gratification is my middle name. -
My surgery was 2 days ago
Terrib replied to Terrib's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What a difference a week makes. I feel great. my incisions itch like crazy, and most of the steri strips have fallen off. I'm dealing with the liquids OK, I only have 4 days left counting today and part of Wednesday. That chicken broth is what keeps me going. I have chocolate unjury and Alpine somethingorother Isopure, I'm so over chocolate. I yearn for some food tasting substance. LOL I hope I lost weight when I go to my post op checkup on Wednesday, according to my Wii, I'm still gaining. (or not losing) I've been slacking on the exercise, but if I can go all day without any Loritab, then I'll start tomorrow. I walk but anything else gets me woozy. I'm only using the Loritab at night, so I can sleep uninterrupted by aches and pains. I'll take Tylenol tonight and see how that goes. Thanks for listening and giving advice and tips. It's priceless to me. ♥ -
How the heck did I gain a pound?
Terrib replied to Terrib's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
OK, I get it, it must be the surgery weight. *whew* I was a little nervous, but I know I'm not cheating, I don't understand why anyone would want to do that, but I hear that some do. I'm on liquids and that means Water, unjury, Isopure, some broth. That's it, I don't see how I can gain weight on that. I go on mushies on the 18th. I'm excited over that. I do walk, but I'm going to get started back on the Wii and dancing again tomorrow. Slow as we go, but I gotta get moving. Thanks for the replies. ♥ -
I know I wasn't supposed to weigh myself, but I was curious.... My surgery was May 5th, 1 week ago yesterday. I am starting to feel better and able to drink more Water and powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury. I've treated myself with some bouillon, and just for grins I stood on the Wii scale yesterday and I've put on almost a pound. I don't want to get discouraged, but WTH? I spent 2 days about drinking nearly nothing from feeling so crappy, and now that I'm feeling better this... Watch me be the only person in the whole wide world that this surgery won't work for. (Just my luck)

How did you feel the first 2 weeks after you were sleeved?
Terrib replied to Ready4aNewLife's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Tomorrow will be one week for me. I'm as lazy as can be. I have no energy to work out. The first couple of days were stressful until I found out I wasn't expected to take in all the recommended liquids. just improve a little every day, which is what I've done and I'm doing fine. I'm still best friends with my Loritab, I can tell when it wears off for sure. I'm a little gassy, so I take the gas drops. My mood is fine, I sleep like a rock and would do it all over again in a heartbeat. 7 days til I go on mushies, and man oh man, I can't wait. (I hope cottage cheese is on that list) I'm craving it bad. -

Well it was just the opposite for me in the hospital, I had cotton mouth so bad. My doctor told me to break off the tip of a popcicle and eat that, and that did the trick, but now it's normal. I would think extra spitty would be just as bad.

I want to be Tiffykins brain.. I'm so lost :(
Terrib replied to Starry's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on the 5th, and I'm on clear liquids (water) and Unjury. (for 2 weeks) and hardly any of that. I couldn't imagine trying to eat beans or any food for that matter. I can't even get down enough water. I hope you find the answers you're looking for. Good Luck. -
My surgery was 2 days ago
Terrib replied to Terrib's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I guess I'm just freaking about getting dehydrated. I (so far) only got down maybe 18 ounces of Water, and maybe 2 ounces of unjury. It's nearly 7 PM here, so I'll keep drinking. The pain comes in waves, but dang.... I'm going to make some green tea and see how that feels. I had dry heaves last night, not fun at all. Hoping for a better night tonight. Thanks for the replies. -
I do not see how I'm going to be able to drink 4 servings of powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury and 54 ounces of Water in a day. I have just a couple sips of water and feel nauseated. I'm starting to think I left the hospital too soon. I have dry heaves and feel all around crappy.

My Thoughts on My Upcoming Surgery
Terrib replied to SusanSleevey's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow, I agree with the replies... I want to watch my son walk his daughter down the aisle. (Makes me misty just to type it) and she's only 3 now... I have high cholesterol and high blood pressure, and am borderline diabetic. My dad died at age 62 of a massive heart attack. dude, get your priorities straight. Then you will make the right decision. Beauty fades anyway, -
Thanks so much for the positive thoughts and great advice. My temp was 99.0 this morning, so that's a good sign. My prep doctor is nearly psychic, I don't know how, but she knows everything. (she's a little scary) She's a teeny little woman who pointed her bony little finger at me and told me NO SMOKING. and man oh man did I oblige. If I want this surgery I will obey. So I will tell her about my fever. or else she'll just call me out on it. lol

My surgery is set for May 5th, and once again, I have a fever. I'm a little afraid they will cancel my surgery. I have no idea why I have a fever, I don't feel sick, just headachey and I'm cold. The thing is, I had to redo some of my labs because my white blood count was high last time, I was on the verge of a double ear infection. So I thought i might have had a fever last night, because I felt cold (ya know how you can just tell) so this morning Ihad a headache, took 2 Tylenol and a few hours later felt fine, and went to get my last batch of labs done. I've seriously been sick non stop since I stopped smoking in February. One thing right into another. Well, I'll just hope for the best. but the way mt luck has been it won't be good.
