  1. Aw that stinks! When you lose and start really taking care if yourself you will have the confidence and insight to realize that you and your daughter both deserve better than you've settled for. Seems to me that he's afraid of you getting confident. Like he was banking on you being under his thumb for all eternity, until he realized you were going to lose weight and feel good about yourself. Boohoo

    Dr. Fernando Garcia

I was watching some videos on YouTube that were made by ready4achange and his email was in the video. drgarciagovea@hotmail.com I'd love to hear what he says to you, in case you have questions I forget to ask. If that's ok with you. I mostly wanted to know what he does for an anticoagulant, and if I'd get his cellphone number to reach him with concerns and questions after surgery.

Can I See Meals/portion Sizes Please?

Thank you, all of you! It is fun for me to see the small portions. I just heard it described that your portion sizes after surgery will be about the size of an egg. I know I saw a video a few months ago that showed a womans meals after a year post op, but I can't find it, darn it. I love getting ideas PRE op, for later.

    Why Lie?!?!

I do not plan on telling anyone at first, I hope that I can keep it a secret from my children even. Part of it is because I don't want people to Be less excited about my weight loss or less supportive, Because usually people are un educated about weight-loss surgery and they think it is the easy way out. I also don't want to be labeled "The one who had weight-loss surgery" Or now, when I lose all of the weight and am able to keep it off I hope that I can help others. If someone who is very overweight asks me how I was successful I will share with them. People who actually want to know. I still hope it never gets back to the in laws

    Relationships After Vsg

I am preop and cannot get surgery until February or March. My husband has always been about 30 pounds heavier than me but he has recently lost weight and is now two or 3 pounds lighter than me. I feel terribly insecure and self-conscious and I don't want anything to do with him sexually now, if that is what you mean. My husband is now super Confident and that turns me off even more. He is looking very handsome, but it is making me feel worse about myself Maybe this is what is going on?

    Still Hungry

    The 14th of November?
  14. Yep. I feel the same way. For me personally, I'm already Dieing to myself from weight related depression. I'm not living, so if I die from surgery, so be it. I'm not excited about suffering, and I don't WANT To die, my children need me and I love being here for them. But this is my chance to live. If I die trying to live........ -*shrug*-
  15. Thank you so much ladies! And gents? Gosh wha a great group of people here on vst. It's so awesome to finally have a group of people who get it!!!! (Hugs) I am going to mx and my mom is actually going with me so I'm not sure where all of this came from today. Thank you again for your support and comforting words. Oh and ill probably be seeing a sweet counselor here in town. She's not a psychiatrist but she's pretty good.
  16. I'm 5'3/4" too but I'm not sleeved yet. 230# I wondered if you girls have a hard time finding jeans like I do. And shirts actually too. Gah! When I'm a size 16 I have no problems finding my length. But the fatter my butt gets, the harder it is to find my length. everything is too long.
  17. That sounds great but at the same time I don't want to give my money I a company that is all about being dirty. How hard Is it to go to mx without a coordinator?
  18. Well, I didn't hear about the sleeve until this spring. I was dead set on it and my husband told me that he might lose his job and didnt think it was wise to do it at that time. Sooo. Since then. I've been off the boards for a while because I was discouraged but I'm back now because it looks like I'll be able to use our tax return in feb/march. I'm SO excited!! So so so. I've never wanted something more.
  19. Oh how excited you must be!!! I can't wait til i can say "2 more weeks!!" How long have you waited altogether?

What's that? I've never had surgery so I don't know how I'll reAct to it. Is this an rx?
  21. When I did the hcg diet, I felt super weak and faint, so much so that I had to have OJ and I didn't know if I'd make it to the fridge. For those Of you that don't know, hcg is a 500 calorie diet.(that I made it to day 6 on and no further, twice) It's virtually zero carb tho, maybe that's what did it. I just left the house with the kids and went to sonic for a bunch of French toast sticks. It made me feel so much better. I supposedly have hypoglycemia and I'm wondering how the 300-500 calories after surgery are goin to do me. I wonder if I'll feel so weak and about to pass out again. it.

    Tall Sleevers

I don't have that info, but wanted to talk a little about this. I never really thought about it before but it would make sense that taller people have longer stomachs. True?
