It depends on a few things, like insurance requirements, etc. If you lose a bit Before, you will be healthier for surgery and lower the risk if complications. I'm trying to retrain my brain about food before surgery. I want to get used to eating consciously, smaller portions and because I'm hungry, not because I'm experiencing emotions. I'm also trying I NEVER have seconds. It's just unhealthy. I'm also learning that it REALLY DIES take 15 minutes for your brain to realize your hunger is satisfied. I think that I would be setting myself up for depression if I waited until after surgery to make any changes at all. It would be too rude of an awakening for me

I haven't gotten my surgery yet and can't help with that aspect, but I wonder. Are you working out this time around? And were you last time? I know for me that when I lose weight while exercising I feel so good about myself, and the fat rearranges itself. Just a thought.

Sleeve Verses Rny - Friend Pleading That I Shouldn't Get Sleeve
amytug replied to HOLLAND's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
At the beginning of the year when I first started researching weight-loss surgeries, I watched a lot of videos on YouTube. At least two of the gals who got the Roux-en-Y ended up getting the intestinal hernia, and came close to death. That is scary to me. There are more complications with RNY. I'm off to watch the videos linked. -

I have noticed that with some surgeons it seems like the people I talk to who used that surgeon lost weight slower than others Maybe that's what the op is wondering about. -
Oh, I just reread my post and saw all the typos. It is called emPower plus, from true hope.com. I am very skeptical About a lot of things and was very skeptical about this. But I was blown away at how normal and good I felt on the empowerPlus. I was surprised at first that you take 5 of them, 3 times a day. Also, now that I'm thinking about this after coffee, I just remembered that you are supposed to go off other Vitamins when you start taking these. They have great customer support that answers a lot of questions, I would not call on Friday though, Unless you really need to talk to someone because they are very busy on Fridays. People wanting to get their questions answered before the weekend. If you have any more questions feel free to ask

I haven't read he replies but k wanted to subscribe so I can read them all later. I suffer from intermittent depression and it gets to the point where I consider ending it all. Though I've never tried Because I know when the depression ends, I am happy with my life. And I am mommy to six beautiful children who need me. The thing that has worked the absolute best for me is some natural nutrients called empowerPlus from truehope.com. They also worked wonderfully for my bipolar friend. We are not well off, but I still made it a priority for a time, to buy these. They have great customer support. The first two weeks are very very hard, but when you finally even out its so beautiful. It's very expensive, but SO worth it. I can't afford it at all now so I just started back on antidepressants. If you ever want someone to talk to, I'm a good listener.

Me? I don't have one. I'm much too much of an introvert to have a channel. I just watch others.

Why can't you have what you want? Do you mean at every meal or just occasionally That this happens? Are you angry that you can't eat a whole bunch of the food you are craving, or just that you can't have it at all? I don't mean to sound insensitive, but I am pre-op, and I wish so badly that I had something that kept me from eating junk Besides my good old willpower. Yeah, that willpower has gotten me so far. Rolls eyes. So to me, you are blessed. I know you were asking if someone else was going through this, and I can't imagine what it feels like, but I am not there yet. I hope you don't mind me replying though Are you Talking to someone about this?
