Making My Deposit Today...
amytug replied to AmandaRaeLeo's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Same as garcias. I read here that the liquid and 3 days of clear liquid was for RNY. Have you aske alma about that? I'd hate for you to do it when it wasn't necessary. Or me not to do it if it WAS! -
Got my date for Dr. Garcia!
amytug replied to Diamondeyed's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Rephrase. 3 days before the date I'm planning on going. Haven't paid the deposit yet, so nothing is set in stone. That's the date I'm counting down to. -

Got my date for Dr. Garcia!
amytug replied to Diamondeyed's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
3 days before me! Cool! 7 weeks seems so long. But not. -
I'm still preop bit I'm thinking about all the things that I'm "powerless" to and trying to come up with alternatives because one day, they will be tempting to me again. Sweets, hands down, are something I'm always going to have to stay away from. The thing I'm mostly curious about though, is pizza. We are HARDCORR pizza fans here and we eat frozen ones at least once a week. I can eat 5 pieces of a frozen pizza. Tonight after that I had 3 little Debbie cakes.we would not have them if dh hadn't bought then on his way home and tomorrow is my birthday, so. Anyway. I like pizza because it tastes good but also because I have 6 children and I don't like cooking. SO What is sleeve diet friendly/healthy and as easy as pizza (ha!) for around a year out? Wwyd?

?B12 Deficiency - Not well and don't know what to do.
amytug replied to cookie2012's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I site wouldn't think it would be a b12 deficiency snow tere are vegans who don't get that until many many ears into that lifestyle and you're eating meat, right? -
Welcome! How cool toget sleeved with your husband!! Piece of advice? You wouldn't know that you were "stalled" if you weren't weighing daily. (Hug)

I'm still PRE op but I see over and over, the siggestion for a good rx antacid and mention of lactose intolerance post op. might want to look into those things.

I'm hoping to hear from hose who are maybe a year out, who have an established "normal" diet going on of like to hear anyone's thoughts though. I can't get surgery until February, but I'm trying to come up with a binder of foods for all 3 meals. Foods that are sleeve friendly, healthy and bonus points if they are kid friendly. (I don't mind making healhy food for he kids, I just can't stand wasting said food. I'm slowly weaning them into a healthier way of eating so they aren't blindsided) What are your favorite breakfasts? Lunches? dinner?

Yeah. I'm not too worried. Just wanted to see if yall had hear anything.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
amytug replied to AmandaRaeLeo's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Merry christmas everyone!!! Hope you have a ton of fun with friends and family! It's 4:47 and I can't sleep. (Social anxiety) -
I dunno. Maybe Santa can be on a diet next year ad eat fruit. *shrug* As for this year and temptation, if sweets are your "thing", then I'd not eat it. In AA they say "one is too many and 100 is never enough." (Right? Something like that. I never went to AA, but saw it in a movie, and my mom goes) anyway. I can rarely just eat one. It's a slippery slope.

To google I go. Vegetarian,vegan!?

Maybe you're wanting salt, crunch and oil. Perhaps kale chips or something similar would satisfy? It's worth a try!! You didn't risk your life to go back I old habits!!! Please!! Don't!! I don't say this as a know it all, trying to encourage!!

I love my blendtec! I was able to get the designer series. I don't use it often though. Maybe I'll use it more post op.

Do You Think You Can Loose A Lot Of Weight Without Exercising?
amytug replied to wendy88's topic in Fitness & Exercise
You also get a much better figure when you work out. I don't like exercise but I feel AMAZONG when I exercise and I look much better too. Edited to add that I mean resistance training, not cardio. Although I do both. -
