Thanks. My band was just never the same once I got pregnant. I go for a endoscopy with a biopsy Monday morning and when all the results are back then we can figure out what surgery to revise to and if I need to have 2 separate surgeries or just 1.
Hello there I am 29 and have been banded for 2 and a half years, I have lost 115 pounds since, I still have a lot more to loose. Looking to get back in the saddle and finish what I started. I live in San Antonio and would love to meet someone who lives here as well to actually possibly hang out and work out with. Not opposed to anyone out of state either for texting, facebook and My Fitness Pal.
Is it just me or did that totally sound like dating personal hahahaha.
To date, I have lost 115 pounds with my lap band. I don't feel like I have bulimia. Anytime I have ever regurgitated my food, it was my own fault such as eating stuff that is too dry, eating to much, trying to eat stuff that I know shouldn't.
I have had no problem with steak, and since I dont eat much I actually go for the better cuts of steak fillet mingon is super easy to chew and to eat. Never had a stuck episode with it at all. Its usually one of the smallest cuts at roughly 6 oz but I also share my food with a 2 year old who loves steak.
Hello all.. I am in San Antonio, not super far from Houston.. I was banded 5-16-12 and have lost nearly 70 so far. More then happy to add any of you to facebook or to even text. I am also looking for other to talk to.
So today I have started feeling this burning/sharp pain at my port site. I haven't had any fluid put in or taken out in about a month, has anyone else had this before?

I do have to admit sex has gotten much better since the band. My husband and I haven't been this active since we were newly weds. Multiple "O"s are much easier.
LOL anyway.
Ok here is a bit of the back story. I was banded 5/16/12 that weekend I had a hard time drinking fluids.. so that Monday I went in for an unfil ( they put 3 cc during surgery ) that unfill I had 2 cc taken out. A month later we tried to put the 2 cc back in and it was just to much for me at the time, and had to take 1.2 cc out. Today I went in for my 2nd fill and could only tolerate another 1cc for a grand ol totaly of 2.8 cc in my 10cc band. The PA said that this isnt super common, so am I the only one. Has anyone else had this issue?

Honestly every surgeon is differnt as to exactly how long they want you to do each phase. It usually goes, liquids, mushy food, soft food and then regular food.
I have done califlower kinda like mashed potatoes. Mashed up brocoli... with a bit of cream of mushroom soup ( reduced fat only 50 calories per half can ) sprinkled with cheese then bake it for a 15-20 mins.
I did to... you just really need to find a doctor you trust. I know its hard especially having a medical background.. we tend to make the worst patients.
I have had surgery and feel it was worth the next 5 years of paying the loan that I took out to have surgery. I have no regrets what so ever. I live in San Antonio.. but in your area I have heard nothing but great things about Dr. Kim.
About a week after my surgery when I was on full liquids, our friend had a birthday dinner at Red Lobster so my husband and I went. I order just a cup of soup and the waitress was really rude and even came out and said " As your meal? IS that it?" She kept comming back and giving me weird looks. I just think of it this way... its their problem NOT yours. People are idiots it is what it is.. at the end of the day your happiness and how you view yourself is all that matters.
