    Reversal?

Should only be on clear liquids right? Too early to think of reversal. Maybe your pain meds are making you nauseous. My doc gave me zofran for that. Take it slow, hydrate!!!!!! Rest! Remember your tummy is still healing. My band was not filled for first two months.

Shoulder Pain 7 Months Post Op

It's ok I didn't know it until many months after surgery. If your food doesn't go down so smooth your saliva builds up ( it there to help food up down). But kind of belches and burps.... Sometimes it just regurgitates up like a bird....it's not your food specifically....kind of thick clear mucus with a little food. You don't normally get nauseated or atleast I don't but sometimes it just needs to come out. Don't be scared but this should not be a habit., chew and take smaller bites. Make good choices. Call doctor if this happens alot.

Shoulder Pain 7 Months Post Op

I was banded dec 2010.... I get this shoulder blade pain mostly left.... Felt this when I was at 5.5cc just in March, it's a restricted feeling and the sliming made it hurt again. I think my band might have been too tight, ate too fast, and too big of bites not chewing thoroughly. I hate to admit it. So it's April almost May finally feeling like I can eat normal without belching....I would soft food it or so more soups and shakes for a few days ( only an opinion and what helped me) tell u drop a few pounds or call your surgeon and support staff. It gets better.

Did anyone ever regret the surgery

Just the first week....pain and thought of food deprivation in liquid stage. Then most recently when family was eating pizza. But then I think of the accomplishment of going from size 24 to 14...no regrets. I find I have to get creative with foods, walk more, and do more housework, amazing the energy I have now!

    Dehydration?

If u are feeling dizzy and light plus the other symptoms you need to think possibly of going to ER to get IV fluids...if u can't drink a slushy or something like coconut water hydration

    Really Need A Buddy?

I just found out that my sister is approved for her lapband surgery!!!!! I have anticipated this day with pure elation. It's hard to see our families struggle with weight and watch the success the band has given to me. Now it's your turn Kerri!

    Depressed ?

I know you will have ups and downs... Just think of how healthy you are going to be, your future body changes, as well as clothing changes!!!! I had many times I felt a void because I'm not looking for food in the cupboards. I end up house cleaning or taking a walk to help that feeling go away....I truly can relate:)
  20. Hi I'm new to this but need more support now then ever...banded slowly now at 5.5cc finding food a little more diificult, also realizing the importance of small bites and chewing. I started at 268, I'm down to 190
  21. 268 down to 190...yes I won't forget my aching ankles and crippled feeling, shortness of breath in stair climbing, or the heavy woman clothing store that I was a slave to....no regrets the bads are outweighed by the goods!
  22. Yay!!!!! Congrats you will not regret this!!!!
  23. Yes!!!! I hated margaritas... Until about six months after my band I craved limes!!!! I occasionally have one a month and not the light low cal ones either. Delicious but I wonder if I'm lacking a vitamin in limes lol!!!
  24. Pasta was not out until my last adjustment. However whole wheat noodles are on a list that was given to me as a food I can eat. Remember, everyone is different and same with foods that are tolerated or not. It's a hit and miss some days. Chew chew chew and bites no larger than your pinkie!!!

    Help

I thought that carbonated drinks can stretch your pouch. I was banded in December 2010, 268. I'm now at 190. This last adjustment allowed me a restriction that was much needed. I'm now at 5.5cc and I have upped my protein to 70 per day, now walking me three times a week fast walk. More water, less fattening cream soups and sour creams. Really focusing on healthier eating because of the stall too. Good luck:) down 9 lbs with this one since First week of Marxh, us this the green zone?
