Feeling any better today? I would suggest finding someone immediately to take over your care. As i'm sure you already know, that is the bad thing about going out of the country for any procedure. There are cost involved and many bariatric surgeons do not touch patients who have had surgery out of the country. It sounds like you may need to have an UGI Edoscopy though.

Hang in there! It sounds like insurance is taking their precious time, as usual. You should definitely hear something from them by mid-week. If not, you can always call, call, call and then call them some more! It took my insurance about 4days to approve me, but I was really worried about whether they would or not as well. Now, I'm really nervous about surgery being less than a week away. Yikes!

Do you take any medications? Just asking because many meds can slow or even hinder weight loss. I would definitely up the protein to about 100 grams daily.

HI! My name is Lisa and I work for a weight loss surgery center. My husband just had the sleeve done 3 days ago and he is having a hard time. That's how found you guys and this helpful website. We had only a week to prepare for the actual surgery!! That in itself was trying. After surgery he experience severe nausea and alot of pain in his chest or esophagus. I can't get him to drink or attempt to "eat" anything hardly at all. I am really concerned, but hoping I am just overly concerned.

I work for a weight loss surgery center and I have never heard of this happening, but my husband had the sleeve procedure done only 3 days ago and is complaining of severe pain as though his chest and/or esophagus is tightening. After surgery he did have to spend an extra night in the hospital due to not being able to keep ANYTHING down. Anyone have any similar symptoms?
