I had to quit at least a month before my surgery, it was a requirement. I don't remember having a lung test. Of course, I was self pay so there's a lot of stuff you aren't subject to, like a psych veal, a NUT, etc when your insurance doesn't pay. I'm coming up on 3 months smoke free, and I feel good. Honestly, since my surgery I'm real sensitive to smells, and being around cigarette smoke makes me ill. Don't get me wrong, my mind still craves it, but I'm happy with how I feel and how much money I'm saving. Good luck to you!

Wow!! You look really good

I quit a month before my surgery. I'm almost three months smoke free. I feel fabulous. I'm making it a goal to stay smoke free as my surgeon scared the crap out of me about it, talking about it giving you ulcers, and its not nice to have ulcers is a small stomache. I really didn't care how bad it was for me before I knew I had to quit for surgery. I loved smoking. I quit using the patch and sucking on suckers. I'm not even wearing a patch anymore (or using suckers), when I came home from surgery I was so miserable I forgot to put on a patch...Lol What's so sad is the nicotine had been out my system, but my mind still automatically goes to "I need to light up" when I've been stressed out lately. But I don't light up, I just cry or jump up and down, stomp my feet, and curse. I attribute it my killer mood swings I'm having

Oh, oh!!! I want to tag a whole punch of pictures of myself on Facebook. As of right now, I avoid all cameras, and most pictures posted are carefully posed pics. Any unauthorized tags are promptly un-tagged as they are usually not flattering.

I'm curious to know the answer to this myself. I know it's better to have think hair than be fat and unhealthy, however I don't want a boy hair cut. I can live with a cute bob, but not a boy haircut

Gallbladder pain is very bad!!! My stones were causing me to have pancreatitis attacks!!!! Worst pain I've ever had, and I have given birth. Anyway I drive a lot for my job too, I'm a probation officer. I did have an attack while out working. I was 20 miles from closest hospital. Luckily one of my co-workers had taken the day off and I was close to her house, otherwise I was going to have to pull over on side the road and wait it out
