  1. Tried the Dukan diet as a 'last' diet before I decided to go for surgery, I lost 3kg in 3 weeks, but at the end of 3 weeks, I hated everything called meat/fish/chicken/diaries as it was all what I could have - I missed fruits, vegs, and juices. I gave up and decided to go for lap band.

Had my surgery 2/5/12 and lost already 5kg, I am eating very well :( think I need a fill which I will have only in the 9th of June.

  2. Hi all, Don't Know if anyone has experienced this or not. I eat like a champion, my band stops me when I am full (means I can't eat more, otherwise, my tomach hurts me and I feel stuck). The problem is, I digest quickly maybe, but I am always hungry and eat every 2 hours... Is that normal?

  3. Today is 5 days post op for me, the gaz pain has gone, I can walk and live quite normally. However, I still feel the incisions and walk with vended back, I still need the pain killers to be able to do what I do quite normally.

I don't advise u for May 31st though . Stick to your date in June, and believe me, u won't change your mind. At the end, the lap band really worth waiting for :)

Update us on your last decision, and know that we re all here to support u whatever u want to do :)

  4. Got my band yesterday. I felt pretty good yesterday but today is a different story. I have a lot of gas pain in my shoulder' date=' neck and back. Pain meds don't relieve that pain.

Did you get a fill yesterday? I have 7 cc in a 10 cc band.

    Good luck today.[/quote']

2.5 cc in a 10 cc band --- for the pain, walk 30 minutes a day I just did and I feel better . Breath breath breath to avoid pneumonia

  5. Ladies - I wish all the May bandsters have everything going as expected (I always expect the good to happen).

My surgery is tomorrow, I will be posting updates on 'lap band success stories' thread name 'Wednesday 2nd May is my day' --- for all who share the same date, let's support each other

  6. here's some things to think about. From a surgical nurse point of view. The surgery is less than a hour long in normal cases you have passed all the pre surgical test prior to surgery. Every one says its a go for surgery. yea sure SOMETHING can happen like you get run over going to the hospital.

Now seriously your wieght is holding you back from enjoying the life you want and deserve. Everyone has done diet after diet and yooyooed up and down.before finally coming to the decision of lap band surgery.

If you decide that you really cant do it then here"s what to expect in your future High blood pressure diabetes your legs cant support your weight so you will be wheel chair bound. then you will need some one to physically take care of you

I had my surgery on April 11 and after the first day I hardly had any pain I didnt take any pain meds . As of today I lost 18 lbs. Its no picnic (lol) but I have a goal and nothing will keep me from it

Thanks ! Exactly what I / we need all to hear..,
