Heart Burn - How Long?
chris twnsnd replied to enigmachik's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 8 months out and just now getting over acid stomache. I was on Prilosec, tums and tried to eat food I new wouldn't bother me. It seems like it took forever for it to improve. Hang in there!!! -
I take a daily vitamin as well as the biotin. I have long, thick hair as well. Well I did----got my middle of the back long hair cut above my shoulders because it was falling out so much. The hair loss is starting to become less now. I'm not by any means thinning but glad that I do take the biotin to help with the loss.

I noticed my hair coming out about 3 1/2mnths after surgery. I was loosing a handful of hair every shower. I take 10,000 of Biotin a day and the hair loss has slowed down a lot.

Hi I'm new to this site. I was sleeved in Dec of 2011. So far I have lost 65lbs.Still have 25 to lose to get to my goal weight, although I wouldn't mind doing more once I hit my goal. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how much food that you are consuming at this stage? I can eat about 4-8oz of food---depends on the food. I am so scared to gain weight back...I know its all up to me, but that fear is still there. Thnks for the comments!!

It may sound cheesie----but when I face those kind of days, I just remind myself that tomorrow is a new day. I refuse to beat myself up for being human and enjoying a few pleasures. I workout more the next day, and make sure my cals stay low. I count everything I eat and drink, and it helps me stay on track. I'm sure your weight will start moving back down!!! Hang in there---your doing great!!! -

Drinking is very important. I still struggle with getting in all my liquids and I got sleeved in Dec 2011. I used Light muscle milk to drink for my protein, and used whey isolate as well. I mixed in a few strawberries instead of ice and it gave it a pretty good taste. It does get easier every week do hang in there and congrats on your weight loss!! -

Haven't started gaining any weight...just want to make sure that I don't. I do track my food faithfully on a program I have on my computer in Microsoft Works. I love it and it helps keep me on track. I also exercise 4-5 days a wk too. Thnks for the encouragment!!! -
Is A Cup Too Much?

Tonight I had turkey spaghetti...4oz meat and 4oz noodles. It took about 40min to eat. I can eat 6oz of greek yogurt at one time also. My usual breakfast is 3/4c of cereal with 1/2c milk. I usually never feel full or hungry...so I'm just kind of winging it. The dietitian has not been any help. I consume 1000cals or less each day and am eating about 70-90 protien.
