Mistywater35 started following 3 Weeks Post Op, Learning My Limits, Hungry all the time?, I just don't get it! and and 7 others
-
I was banded in Oct 2012, and for the past two days I have been so hungry? I have not been doing anything extra or exerting extra energy. Anyone have this happen, or know why this might be happening?

I did not just start working out. I have been working out for 3-4 years off and on but pretty steadily until I was sick two weeks ago. I do use a tape measure and honestly haven't seen much (if any) movement there either. My diet is high in protein at least 80 grams (or milligrams however the measurements) per day. I have dropped 2-3 sizes and 64-69 lbs (since I started actually in April when I began the whole surgery circuit)but, my concern is in the last couple months. Well Thanks for all the support. I will surely keep plugging along!

So, I've been on this plateau for about 8 weeks now. (I'm only 4 mo.out from surgery) I've only lost about 25lbs since surgery. I had been going 3-4 times a week to the gym doing 30 min cardio and Nautilis machines. I got sick with a cold and did not go for a week and then started losing weight! did not go for another week. had lost about 3 lbs over the last 2 weeks. Monday I started back at the gym, have gone every day and have gained the 3 plus 1 lbs back? This is not logical I did go out to dinner Monday night but did not eat anything outrageous and brought home most of it. So why in the world would I be up 4 lbs? I was so happy thinking I'd broken the plateau, only to be back where I was two weeks ago! Any ideas? and I don't by the building muscle theory. thanks for letting me whine!

need suggestions. have hit a plateau.

Mine were too and I've tried but I have never been a huge fan of meat so I have had a tough time ignoring my veggies the starch I can live without, a small amount definitely satisfies me. I've also tried things like beans and edamames which I do like but still tough. Anyway I don't think I am way off base with the protein just need to concentrate on it a bit more. -

I've been on a plateau playing with the same 3 lbs. for a few weeks, It is so frustrating! I am wondering about my protien, I eat pretty well rounded meals but sometimes can't eat all the protien on my plate. I like the variety and tend to eat sort of around in circles on my plate. I just upped my work out to include some jogging intervals to try to change it up. I go up and down with a lb I think the scale is gonna move and the next day it's back up. I need to see some loss soon.! -
My doctor said that the scar tissue has to heal around the port and that random pains stretching et. Is normal for awhile after surgery. Even inlaces you don't expect.

feel virtually no side effects from band
Mistywater35 replied to Mistywater35's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thanks for all your comments. I was just worried ""if its too good to be true..." You know Happy Holidays! -
While I should be happy (I think), I can't help wondering why I have virtually no effect from my band. I eat the right size portions, I've lost 21 since my surgery 2 months and 2 days ago, so I am right on target for weight loss (2lbs a week) and I defintely feel the restriction of getting full faster and I am pretty strict but have had my moments. Many people say they can't eat this can't eat that, have stuck episodes etc. I can't believe I haven't done something that might have caused this as of yet. (I've had my first fill) and will not need another right now because I am full until pretty much a normal meal time when I eat a small but good well rounded meal. Maybe it is because I had cut myself way down way back when I started the whole process? I So why would I not have any of the side effects? I feel like I must be doing something wrong, because I can't believe I am doing everything right! Is this just weird?

I am not really worried about eating too much because I have not felt like I need more then I am eating yet. Just worried about having something get stuck or something with all the family around. Because I don't know what the fill will change for me.
-
I had my first fill 2 hours ago. It was also 4cc. I was hungry when I went in but have not been since the fill. I am to drink shakes for a couple days. and then soft food for another few. I haven't even got back to "regular food" I thought he would do my fill at 6 weeks. but it's only been 4 weeks since my surgery. I am a little scared because up until now I haven't had any problems at all. hmmmm wondering what this will bring. (right before Thanksgiving).

3 Weeks Post Op, Learning My Limits
Mistywater35 replied to amcolling's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am almost 4 weeks out (oct 15) and I have just started to be hungry after about 2 hours. by 3 hours I'm ravenous. But aside from that I feel GREAT! I am satisfied with the small portions, which was my BIGGEST problem!. -
