Congratulations and Happy Birthday. I noticed that you have not experienced any stalls..what's your secret?
-
Congratulations on your decision to have the sleeve!~ I am now 8 weeks out and this is the best thing I have ever done for myself... About the stall...my doctor told me for weeks 3 and 4 most people experience a stall. (In other words, it is completely normal to not have any weight loss during those weeks because your body is still recovering from a big loss the first two weeks). Sounds like you are doing everything right just keep doing it and it will eventually start back. I an in another stall now and have been for almost two weeks but I keep eating right and going to the gym because i know eventually it will change... You can do it

What Was The 1St Week Post Op Like?
xavtay2 replied to Aussie Esta's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Aussie how exciting that you both will be taking this journey together! I am now 8 weeks post op and I have to be honest and tell you the first week was my worst. It is normal because you are having major surgery but there are some people who have no problems. My hunger immediately went away and so did my high blood pressure. I couldn't keep anything down the first day. My taste ifs changed drastically after surgery too. I had to make sure my back was up while sleeping and truly the advice on this site is what helped!!! Make sure to walk walk walk and walk Take some dry mouth spray Take an extension cord Sip sip and sip your liquids If you do those things you will be fine and the best of success to you and your hubbie! -
Congratulations on the approval! I will always remember the day I was approved... Best of success on your journey

Traveling Post-Op
xavtay2 replied to imaginemeskinny's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Imaginemeskinny please speak with your doctor about your travel plans. I am 2 months out now but my surgery was 2 and 1/2 hours from my home and my doctor required me to stay in a hotel local for 3 days after my surgery... Blood clots are a big concern and to be on the safe side check with your doctor to make sure it will be okay -

xavtay2 replied to newgrandmother's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow that was rude!!! I don't know why so many people think that having weightloss surgery is the easy way out because it isn't. Heck it is no wear near easy!!! Keep your head up and don't let what she said get you upset because it you did what was best for YOU and so did everyone else here.... -

How Do You Pay For Your Part?
xavtay2 replied to Coykoi's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You have to pay all copy's prior to the surgery. I had to pay over 900 to the doctor and 1200 to the hospital. I saved for months and it was a sacrifice but now at 6 weeks out I can say it was worth it -
I am having the same problem!!! Glad to know I am not the only one... I actually scrape my tongue several times a day because of it
