I have never ran, always wanted to be able to. The program starts you off walking for 2 minutes and then jogging for 1 minute. I made it through the 30 minutes, but not at a very fast pace.

I Want To Get A Fill Now!
lv2nurse replied to Wisegirl1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am going through the same thing, banded on 9/4. I felt restriction from the swelling for the first week. Now I get so hungry, I get my first fill, 4cc on 10/4! I can't wait, I hope it feels like it did that first week! I'm trying to stick to my 1200 calories, I'm getting in my protien, and I went back to the gym, just not doing any abdominal stuff. I have only list 2 pounds since surgery. -
I was banded 9/4 and doc told me if they didn't fall off by day 10 I could take them off.

I put one scoop in 8-12 oz of coffee. I use unjury vanilla or chocolate splendor:-)

20 Days Post Op Itching Incisions!!
lv2nurse posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My incision sites are itching sooo bad! Anybody else have this? Any suggestions? -
I'm 7 days out, and I get them too. About every 2-3 hours like clock work. Sometimes a little water stops them but other times I have some protein shake or soup and it stops!

Was banded on Tuesday 9/4. I have not had any real pain, just a bit of tenderness in my upper belly. I am very bloated, but I also ended up getting my time of the month a week early, so I have menstrual cramps:-( I have been able to sleep in bed laying on my sides the last two nights:-) I have been out doing things, shopping cleaning, just taking it a bit slower than I usually would. After tomorrow I can start puréed/ mushies. Pretty excited to tast something besides the full liquid stuff! My tummy lets me know when it's time to eat something, but it doesn't take much to feel full. Headed to Atlantic City for Three days on Thursday. Gonna make sure I pack plenty of foods I know i can eat. Then back to work on the 16th. I highly reccomend taking the two weeks off work. Good luck to all those being banded this month! I'll update after I start my mushies:-)

Slept in bed last night, on my back only:-( miss sleeping on my side/tummy. Feeling good! More gas today but I am able to pass it, drinking lots of Mint tea and keeping moving. Getting in my 64oz of fluid, but I am not hungry. I do get hunger pains though, after I drink a little it goes away:-) I got in my 60 grams of protein yesterday and so far about 50 today, but it 's not easy when your not hungry. 4 oz of ff milk and a scoop of protein powder are going down best right now. Gonna do some unjury chicken soup for dinner, that will give me another 20 grams of protein for the day:-) Had a sugar free fudge pop last night, that was refreshing! Not much pain, just feeling really bloated.

Centrum makes an adult chewable -
Not a bad night. Slept on my very comfy couch pretty much sitting up. Side sleeping was too uncomfortable. I think I'll be fine sleeping in bed tonight on my back. Got up this morning all full of energy, broom swept the floors, unloaded the dishwasher, fed and watered the dogs, wiped down the kitchen counters and did a bit of light dusting:-) Now gonna relax a bit a have my morning protein shake.-) I have only taken one dose of children's liquid Tylenol since getting home yesterday afternoon. No gas pains, as of yet. I have heard others getting them later post-op. Minimal pain at port site. Plan on getting a shower and venturing out for a bit later. Praying that this continues ...... Hope everyone else that got banded with me yesterday is doing as well or better!!

I took one dose in the hospital, made me so nauseous I didn't even get the script filled. I used children's liquid Tylenol. -
On my way home from hospital. Process went very smoothly:-) small bit of nausea after taking the lortab for pain, but it pass after a few minutes . I am going to try to stick with liquid Tylenol for pain. I have been chewing on ice and sipping water so far. All and all a good experience. Full liquids for 1 week, then purred/ mushies I'm so excited for them, lol. Hope I feel this good in the days to come!

Anyone Getting Banded In September?
lv2nurse replied to millsy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Me too, day 4. Some days are harder than others. -
Well today was the first day of my seven day pre-op, full-liquid diet. It went pretty well, I was off work today (it's my weekend). I had a protein shake for breakfast, Greek yogurt for snack, for lunch the unjury chicken soup (yummy) and a sugar free popsicle. For Dinner tomato soup and another s.f. popsicle. I also had 4 cups of decaf, hot mint tea along with about 34 oz of water. Total of about 74oz of water, 80 grams of protein, 2 grams of fat and 621 calories. Praying day two goes just as well:-)
