Wow, that list is TOTALLY different than mine... Mine didn't have any sweets, or any creamy things on it... The highest calorie item was probably mashed potatoes, and that had "(limit)" next to it...

What You Can Eat and Drink
You can eat or drink only things that are liquid. You may have these foods and drinks:
    Water
Fruit juices, including Nectars and juices with pulp
Butter, margarine, oil, cream, custard, and pudding
Plain ice cream, frozen yogurt, and sherbet.
    Fruit ices and popsicles
    Sugar, honey, and syrups
Soup broth (bouillon, consommé, and strained cream Soups -- but NO solids)
    Gelatin (Jell-O)
Boost, Ensure, Resource, Sustacal. and other liquid supplements
Tea or coffee with cream or milk and sugar or honey

Ask your doctor if you can include these foods in your full liquid diet:
Cooked, refined cereals, such as Cream of Wheat, cream of rice, oatmeal, grits, or farina
Strained meats, like the ones in baby food
    Potatoes pureed in soup

Do NOT eat any kind of cheese, fruit (fresh, frozen, or canned), meat, and cereals that are not on your “okay” list.
Also, do NOT eat raw or cooked vegetables. And, do NOT eat ice cream or other frozen Desserts that have any solids in them or on top – things like nuts, chocolate chips, and pieces of Cookies.

Tomato or sweet red pepper Soup is quite nice. I added Mrs. Dash salt free seasonings (Baked chicken Flavor is great) to the soup before heating which gave the soup added flavor.

****Update**** surgery went well. One minute I was sleep and the next minute I was woke and they were all done. I will say I'm in quite a bit of pain. Just like I pulled a muscle or something. The site of the port mainly. Plus my mouth is so dry I'm not hungry at all but would kill for some ice chips. I'm not allowed any ice chips or Water until after testing/X-rays in the morning. I've been trying to sleep most of the day to make the day go by quicker and actually because I'm really really tired. My breath smells HORRIBLE from not drinking and I feel dirty.
Plus side: I lost 7 pounds on the drs required 5 day liquid diet. Im glad surgery is over now I can begin my journey. I'm feeling so good about my decision. I know that I'll do well because of the amount of support I have from my husband, family, friends, coworkers, and my new LBT FAMILY. Thank You!! I'll post again tommrow. Going to try and get some rest.

mzlashawnt4 reacted to TheBandedPeach in Dr. Frederick Tiesenga - anybody else here banded by Dr. T?
Yes, I had him. He is very sweet and skilled at the table, but I have to say I am extremely frustrated with him over all. I'm sad to have such a negative response, but the contradicting information and lack of communication plus lack of nutritional knowledge on his part and his staff's part has made my journey painful, stressful and scarey.
Would love to hear other people's stories with their surgeons (including Dr. T's) and compare notes.
