I was banded 8-1-12. Had my 1 st fill on 9-17-12. Now I feel like I can eat more then before my 1st fill. I have no restrictions what so ever . Is this normal? The good news I have not gain. But I feel like a failure b/c I can eat anything.

Oh-la-la replied to Oh-la-la's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks all I feel better today and eating mushies. By the way I lost 23 Pds so far -
I'm so scared to eat I had 4 cc put in today. I already had some restrictions before with nothing in it. Not sure if it's me but just had some broth and feels a little tight or it could be my nerves help with your experience tell me what's tight or the sensation I'm suppose to have.

My MD said I could walk and swim and no ab straining at 4wks but, now that I'm 6 wks I thought I could do more. I have my 1st fill on the 17th so I guess I will wait and ask again then. I just want to tighten it up . lol

Port Feels Like It Is Pulling Downwards?!?
Oh-la-la replied to prettysmart1913's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 30 days post op , two weeks ago or since I had the surgery I had the same feeling. I even had problems when I tried sleeping. I felt like the port and band was hanging in there. The Good news is that in a couple of weeks your muscle will build up and that feeling will go away. -
I want to take some tynl . It's my 1st time I'm 3wks post op? MD said its fine but I'm a little nervous. Do you know any complications on this??

Eating mushys now. But feeling bloated I ate 4hrs ago and I still feel like if I over ate all I had was 1 tbs of mash potatoe and 2tbs of blended turkey. I thinking it could be gas? ... Also I had the spider done, so I only have one incision in my bellybutton , but I have a lump where the port may be. The doc said its normal but that was a week ago. Has this happen to any one ? If so when does it go away. Oh and occasionally I mild sharp pain above my belly button and port area.

That will be me. I'm 11 days post op still woundered if there is something there or if it detached or something. The only thing I know is there is the port because of swelling. But I do have a little restriction on thicker liquids or it's just me not feeling like eating. -
11 day post op!!!! So, how should I be feeling now?? I feel hungry like normal but satisfied after eating 6oz of full liquids. My port area looks swollen. I feel like I'm pregnant on one side. Sleeping better every day. But, still have the sensation of something is on the right side weighing down. How do you know that nothing detached? (I'm such a worry wort! ) I have my post op appt Monday. I think to get stitches out. Let me know how you felt at this time of post op?

Ok good luck I hope you feel better. If you find It I think it would help. They gave me one at the hospital and the nurse said to raise and rotate your arm. Please keep us updated on your progress.
