I am 39 years old, married with one daughter and two bonus sons. My daughter is 9 and my sons are 22 and 21. I have been married for 10 years.
Before I met my husband I had lost 75lbs and had kept it off for a number of years with much work. After I married had my daughter I gain all of that weight and then some back and have not been able to take it off and keep it off.
AFter workign and soul searching for a year about this I have comitted to lap band surgery. I feel this is the right choice for me at this point in my life. If I ever want to take the weight off and keep it off for ever this is what I must do.
My surgery date was originally set for December 19th but due to my insurance company I had to change it to January 11th. I just found out that my surgeon had to leave town and now I am scheduled for January 17th, so as they say third time is the charm. I am on my pre-op diet now for the third time and so far have lost 9.5 lbs. I am so nervous and excited to get this done I can't stand it. :wacko:
I pray this is the right choice.
