Well, the pre-op meeting went well. Officially I am weighing 281.2lbs. I had my last hurrah this past weekend for Mother's Day and didn't quite have what I really wanted but as the french say "C'est la vie". Today, I am starting the liquid protein diet. Dr. Washington told me to have 5 drinks per day, which is better than the 3 stated in the paperwork. The morning was fine and I am drinking water. I did have one small black coffee with 1 splenda vs my usual large coffee with half and half and 5 splendas. It went ok. I am cold though, freezing. Doesn't help that the air conditioning in the building I work in is on super high...ha ha ha... Anyway, I hope to weigh myself at home and hope to get my measurements tonight and post it tomorrow. I hope to lose at least 20 lbs before the operation on June 9th, though Dr. Washington didn't give me a determination on how much I should be losing between now and then. I just want no complications. Oh by the way, he is so sweet. I asked if I could go home that same day, since my daughter would really freak out by not being home (she did one time on a business trip) and he changed it to 7:30am vs 2:30pm. :thumbs_up:I am a happy camper!!! See you tomorrow!

:eek:Hi to all, I will be finally getting the lap band on 06/09. I have gotten all my clearances and I will have my upper GI on 04/29. I am so confused on the Protein drinks. I need some advice. I bought a couple of samples of unjury and will try one tomorrw. I want to know what people think of Isopure and any other ways of getting the Proteins in. I have pretty much no money ( on a really tight budget) so I don't want to spend on something that I will not drink. Please help... Paty

Hi! My name is Paty. I am a 36 year old single mom. I live in Parlin, NJ and I am trying to get the LapBand procedure done. My doctor is Dr. Morris Washington in Freehold, NJ. I currently weigh about 280lbs (give or take that time of the month). I am 5'4" and have been overweight all my life. I have gone through all the procedures, doctor appointments and got approval for the procedure in mid May of this year, but I changed jobs and I am just waiting for my new health card to come in so the office can ask for approval again. I hope that I can get approval soon and embark on this new life of losing weight and being healthy for once. I am tired of being so big and uncomfortable. I hope to meet new friends and learn new things and recipes. I am also very curious on the pre band and post band liquid diet. Hoping here to meet you all!

What if I HATE artificial sweetner?
pmvb11 replied to aubrie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi! I was wondering, would brown sugar be a better replacement for artificial sweetners / regular white sugar? Hope everyone is well. Paty:clap2: -
