You should call your OBGYN Dr. remember that you weigh in with them once a year. My OBGYN is the one that referred me to have the surgery ask them they have it on file anytime you have gone to a Dr's appointment you can go back and ask them for a copy of your vitals. Good luck. Problems eating in the morning
29Ladybug replied to HYAC's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Try sipping on some water or water down juice first and then try to some hours later, I have never been a breakfast person but I do drink a protein shake in the morning and keep it moving. Your body might not want food that early. I hope this helped, I have only been banded for 2 days and I'm still sipping and forcing myself at that I am just not hungry at all, I'm only sipping on 4tsp of liquids every hour just so that I do not get sick:-( -
I'm passing so much Gas I had to make sure that I did not crap in my pants:-) LOL Wow the little things that make LB (Lap Band) people happy. Lol I just might have to start selling gas. HAHAHAHA! I'm cracking myself up.

This is the MiraLax that I'm sipping on and it is really helping me out.

I'm taking 1 every 2-3 hours it's working but it feels like something is pitching my left shoulder, I get some relief and I'm also taking Miralax to help me with a bowel movement. I feel the gas moving and its coming out from the other end. Lol
-
Yes it's in my left side as well I'm using the Gas X dissolvable strips and they are really pushing the gas out, it the air that they fill up you lower cavity to get to the stomach. Yes I'm feeling the same thing a lot of discomfort.
-
I'm feeling great so far, the gas is moving fast the walking Gas X dissolvable extra strength strips and the Miralax is really helping. Sipping on clear liquids and Walking and more walking. Thank God that my Post-Op is going well. Woohoo!

It's looks great to me I'm a Nurse, remember that you are healing from the inside to the out. Let the strip stay on until they fall off on there own, trust your site looks good. Don't worry just heal healthy. Pat it dry and clean softly around it with a antibacterial soap, you can use the hand soap from Wal-Mart it cost less than a $1.00 your doing great.

Yes the Gas X and Miralax works great with walking every 30mins I'm 1 day post-op and I really good, you have to move move move, trust me I'm a nurse and walking will move that gas around. Laying in the bed is a bad thing and will only keep the gas in. Fill better soon keep me posted on how things are going. -
I'm feeling good just a lot of pressure from the air that was out into my lower cavity of my body, I'm walking around and resting I'm taking Gas X dissolvable strips and Miralax to help with my bowels. Sipping on H2O and Walking Walking. Everything seem to be going just well. Anyone that had there surgery yesterday how are you feeling.
-
Try ground turkey I haven't eaten ground beef in 15 years or more, it's hard to break down.
-
Yes yes yes you have to keep walking around as much as you can, even if you don't want to and have your bowels moved yet?
-
Great job keep up the good work.

At Creekwood I will and I'm getting so much need rest, I will keep you posted on my journey. Thank you for your kind words. -
May 9,2013 at 9:00 am I had my surgery, it took 45 mins and I was home at 12:00 noon and Dr. Vollinger told my wonderful husband that I did great. I'm sipping on clear liquids every 1 hour ( Water & Apple juice) out of a medicine cup this is my limit and my amount i told to drink just one cup. I'm taking my pain medication like Scheduled and walking every hour as well, the pain is more like a gases pain and very uncountable so I'm taking the Gas X dissolvable strips they are working some. I feel okay and thank you all for your encouraging words and blessings.
