losingjusme goes for plastics
cindyluhu replied to losingjusme's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
LJM I have been away from LBT for a while, busy and such, and just read about your next journey tomorrow. What an inspiration you are (and have been with couch to 5k etc). I am so very excited for you, and will be saying prayers for you as well. It will be over before you know it, and soon the new you will be up and about! How cool is that?!! Please keep us posted, we care!! Cindy -
Hope everything goes well with you. Yes, please do tell who your doctor was, so other people can make sure not to blame him/her when they choose not to use them. Perhaps he/she did not do many surgeries? Once again, we wish you well on your recovery and please realize that this is not "the norm". I love my band and am so sorry for what you went through. Cindy

PS Thanks for the motivation to get my butt in gear to exercise! Cindy

Hi Everyone, Happy New Year. Sounds like everyone is doing great. I've started exercising again, which will hopefully increase more this week. The water, well, what can I say? I keep trying!! Sandra, don't be too discouraged. I know exactly what you mean. Things just don't fit like I remember them fitting at a higher weight than what I am now. I'm wearing a size 10 pants now, at least the stretchy, skinny jeans. But I'm still wearing a Large top, go figure. I would so like to have the tag say Size M in a top. Talk about superficial!! I'm also not liking the "extra" skin. At the moment it is bearable. I'm still deluding myself into believing that exercise will tone everything up. Can't blame a girl for wishing!! Keep up the great work everyone. It is so nice to have you all to chat with. Cindy

Hi Julie, How's everything going? Hope your latest surgery went well, I think it was right around this time that your boobs are getting done. If you already had it, hope everything went well. If you haven't had it yet, then good luck. Please keep us posted. Cindy -

I also had my surgery with The Glasgows. Love them!!! Dr. Adam is my doctor and I have nothing but great things to say about them. I'll be happy to answer any questions anyone has. My surgery was 5/10/07. Cindy -
How's everyone doing with the exercise and water? Not so good again here. With the preparation for the Holidays, pretty much the water and exercise were not here. That is now changing. I will go running tonight and hopefully live to talk about it tomorrow, and I will drink all my water today and everyday. Wish me luck!! Today is another day. Cindy

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope everyone had a nice Holiday and enjoyed themselves. I also ate too much. Well, not exactly too much, but what I ate was not so great. Too much picking!! Take care everyone. Cindy

Yay Julie, you go girl!! Congratulations. You must be so excited. A new you for the new year, doesn't get any better. Keep us posted. Cindy -
Sue, Happy belated birthday. Hopefully you'll get your nice dinner sometime soon, when you and hubby are feeling up to it! You want to be able to enjoy without a funny tummy. Sounds like some nasty stuff going around, I think I'll get back on the vitamins, I've been slacking. Been slacking on the water too, now that I think on it. Guess what? Everyone seems to be doing so great during this Holiday season. I don't know about you, but I know that I usually put on a few this time of year! So far, so good. Melissa, how do you like your new do? Can't wait to see a pic. Take care everyone Cindy

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!! Julie, you look fabulous. I bet you feel great as well. You are such an inspiration, with the running as well as the plastic surgery. It makes me think that one day it really can and will happen!! Thank you so much for sharing your story, and of course, your pictures. Have a great Holiday. Cindy -
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO MY MAY BANDSTER FRIENDS!! Hope everyone had a great day. I must say, it was the absolute least I have ever eaten on a Holiday (but I didn't mind). I didn't even have dessert, just allowed myself a teaspoon of my mom's pecan pie! Melissa, you were positively glowing in your wedding pictures, thanks so much for sharing! Everyone seems to be doing fantastic, what a wonderful thing, this band of ours. Have a great rest of the Holiday. Cindy

Couch to 5K - Week of 11 ? 17 November
cindyluhu replied to losingjusme's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Losing, try not to let yourself get down. Have you had enough protein lately, and potassium? I've heart that lack of those things sometimes can make that happen. Just a thought. Keep at it, and good luck. Cindy -
Melissa, Congratulations. Hope you're having a great time!! Cindy

Karen, I feel for you! I haven't been losing for a bit now, I think 4 pounds total last month, but I'll take it. Like you said, it's just frustrating when you add in the exercise, and are eating appropriately, and the scale does not want to BUDGE. I'm just hoping that it will surprise me one day and drop big time. If not, we just need to remember to focus, that we are doing a good thing and getting healthy, right? By the way, Did week 4 workout 1 last night. I SURVIVED. It felt good (once I was done!) I sneaked a peak ahead to Week 9, big mistake. I'm wicked scared. One long 20 minute, 2 mile run. Ouch. We'll be ready! Oops, sorry for rambling. Cindy -
Way to go Ragdoll, I bet you are at Onderland right now!! Cindy

I still say you should check out HP. I have never had a problem with them, I've had them for maybe about 10 years. I called customer service once on one of my computers and they were fabulous. Worth looking into. Cindy
