Okay- I have been banded 3 years this past October. I have lost all but 25 pounds of my weight I wanted to lose.. My husband and I are going to try to have another baby. I'm 35 and my clock is tick tick ticking..LOL:p I have so many questions about how my band will hold up.. It has been 2 years this past December since my last fill and I still have an awesome fill and wonder do I get the fill removed while I'm pregnate? If I DO NOT what will happen? If I do will I gain everything back? What about my port?- I can really feel the location of my port with each pound I lose.. In fact if I wear a tight fitting part of jeans when I take them off you can see the ring(port) How much weight did you put on? Did you have a C-section or natural? I really want to have another child. My husband got fixed back in 97 after the birth of our son and this past SEptember got it reversed.. My husband is in Iraq right now but will be home on 2 weeks R&r in march and we will be working on it:} I just want to make sure I will be doing the right thing for my body and have a healthy baby!! Thanks

Hey~ This is my band buddy posting.. She has been a real fighter and I knew someone on here could help her.. Thank you! I feel so bad for her:{ I don't want her to go to one problem to another by getting the RNY. This past year has been so hard for her- We were both banded in Indiana and have a great doctor. Kathy- She has no fluid in her band and still gets sick. I have not been on here in over a year and not sure if Donneta is still on here? But I know their has been a few people on here that have in the past had the band removed. PLEASE anyone that can help her Please write soon. Her surgery is Wes. and has to choose by then..BOO HOO Thanks so much Ginger

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I do feel good about myself these days and it is hard. My husband is in Iraq and the kids and I are living on post at Ft hood. I am from Indiana, away from my family and friends. I have days where I just wanted to pig out on anything just because I was stressed. I can't.. I told my husband if I did not have the band I'd be over 300 now with him being gone. The days are long but the nights without him are endless.. Old habits are hard to break! THANK YOU for all the post!! I really needed it this week-I'm really missing my husband

ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY Today is my 1 year anniversary of having my lap band. I started out at 275 and I have lost 72 pounds total this year. My total BMI before surgery was 42 today it is 33. I have learned so much over this past year; My band is a tool and not a quick fix. My band might like food one day and tomorrow it might not! Losing 1 pound a week is better than gaining. Bread will not be my friend ever again. chips and dip go down but a piece of chicken might not. It is all about choices! I have had months where I snack everyday on candy. I don't work out as I should and as I hit my 1 year mark the weight loss could have been more.. BUT.. my goal for 1 year was 70 to 75 pounds down.. I"VE DONE IT! Next year I'll lose the other 40 pounds to be in the overweight/healthy USA guild lines. I have no regrets about getting my band, sure I'd love to eat like a normal person but face it if I was normal I would not have the band in the first place. Goals I gave myself a year ago that I have done: Fit into my leather pants-11/11/03, fit into my white pants 12/29/03, ride a roller coaster 6/04/04, not use a seat belt exstention on an airplane 6/29/04, be under 200 pounds-SOON! fit into my wedding dress.. Well, I have a few more pounds to lose to fit into my dress but I can now get it on over my boobs! Total inches lost; Chest 7inches Waist- 11 inches Hips- 13 inches Next years goal: BMI in the 30 to 25 range Fit totally into my wedding dress Run a mile Be off all my meds I have pictures on my family website www.jgejdavis.com Under pictures and on my journal page. Here is to another year of weight loss..

I guess you will find out too that chips go down but a piece of chicken from dinner did not.. Funny how the band works. I have never had a problem with eggs but today I puked my guts out after 4 bites.. CRAZY! I like the skippy queeze. It is the right amount and as long as I eat slow I can get it down. Somedays I can eat loads of stuff the next day I can't eat a thing? -
Yes PLEASE!!! Thank you very much!

I guess I'm just going to have to fly back to Indiana to see my own doctor. I've been having problems since I flew around the 4th. I called my doctors office and they said it sounded like I have extra air trapped. I'm looking for a doctor here that does his fills under Flo but I called 3 and they do not. How can a doctor give a good fill without seeing how much he is putting in the band?? That just makes no sence to me, and if you have to keep going back for a cc here and a cc there that is just $$$ you could save if he used the flo. Just my view.. I need the fluid removed to get the air out and then all of it put back in. I have 3.00cc and it is perfect. With being banded in another state doctors just don't want to mess with a new person.. Oh well thanks!
