For The Gals: Time Of Month Complications?
shellbell33081 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Ladies! I started my period a couple of days ago and this could be coincidental, but I am having a LOT of trouble eating. Drinking is no problem, but food makes me very nauseous. I am 10 weeks out. Anyone else have this problem? -

Changes In Period Symptoms After Sleeve
shellbell33081 replied to Shemy-away's topic in The Gals' Room
I started my period 2 days ago and can barely eat due to nausea!! I'm glad I found someone else with this issue, though I wish no suffering on anyone, of course lol I guess it's our crazy hormones. I had horrible nausea 24/7 when I was prego with my daughter so I shouldn't be surprised lol -
That is so awesome! Congrats on your success!

Some people truly don't understand. We had a pitch in at work yesterday and everyone was shocked at little I ate. I even had a friend split a very small brownie with me. My portion was truly a very small bite and she said, "That's all you're eating?" lol If I hadn't grown up with a grandmother that had her stomach stapled years ago I would probably have been just as clueless. I hope your friend doesn't continue down the path of jealousy. She should be happy for your success. We are!!

i drink slim fast low carb 20 grams of protein and 2 grams net carbs and i think 180 calories. i like the taste of the chocolate.

i went to Garcia in Tijuana for $5000 through Successfully Slimmer. I don't regret it. I had a great experience and never felt unsafe(i went alone). remember that pics don't tell the whole story. do a lot of research and choose a surgeon you feel comfortable with.

Help With Overeating
shellbell33081 replied to tinfoil_heroine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thank goodness I'm not totally nuts! A lot of times I sneeze if I start getting full lol. I thought I was going crazy so it's nice to hear that others have experienced this. Thanks, Lissa! Most of the time I burp, like Lissa, so I know it's time to stop eating. Hang in there and be careful!! -

I sent ya a friend's request i'm always happy to lend support! -
Drinking with meals can cause food to slide through faster and thus causing a person to be hungry more frequently. The diet soda is carbonated and caffeinated. The carbonation is bad for a sleeve and can cause expansion, possibly(nothing proven). Caffeine can result in a person feeling hungry more often, too.

What About Personal Safety While In Mexico... Not So Safe There In General Now...
shellbell33081 replied to WLJourneyJ's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I traveled alone and was never worried. I felt very safe in Mexico. I even walked from the hotel to the local WalMart(about 15-20 min). No one bothered me or even looked at me. I stayed at the Marriott which was very safe. The elevator is operated by your room key and you can only go to your floor, which means no one can walk in and start wandering around. I truly enjoyed my experience in Mexico. -
I hate Isopure. I never have liked it because I feel it has a horrible after taste. I would only buy one bottle to see if you like it. I am 9 weeks out. I have two protein shakes a day plus food during the day. I get around 50-60 grams of protein. However, my first month I did not get even 20 grams a day! I agree with Mina; it's better to concentrate of getting fluid that first month. Good luck!

I'm still early into this at 9 weeks, but I know it's possible to change shoe sizes after losing a lot of weight. My feet aren't too big. I wear a size 7 wide, but I have bunions that make my feet wider. I never get to wear the really cute heels LOL

I went to Dr. Garcia in Mexico. I spent $5000 through Successfully Slimmer. My airfare was not included so I paid $350 for my ticket. I had a great experience!! If you decide on Mexico, do a lot of research and be comfortable with who you choose. A cheaper price isn't always the better choice. Good luck!

Q For The Large Breasted Women, Ddd And Up
shellbell33081 replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
To be honest, you have no idea what size you will be in one or two months. I am two months post-op and I thought for sure I would lose my breasts before anything else, but I am still the same cup size, just a smaller band size. If you can hold off on buying a bra then you should. Bras are so expensive, especially for us big breasted gals. I'd hate for you to buy a smaller size only to find it never really fits right. Good luck! -

The Scale: A Love/hate Relationship
shellbell33081 posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have decided to stop worrying about the numbets on my scale. I love my scale when the numbers go down, but hate it when the numbers do not move or go up. We all know what this is like. However, I am super excited because I am losing inches!! The jeans I bought 3 weeks ago are getting baggy! I wish I was under 200(207.4 currently), but I'll take inches lost over a number on the scale any day! Take it from me folks, those scale numbers do not mean a whole lot. -
