shellbell33081 replied to Jessica89's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Eating Discomfort
shellbell33081 replied to shellbell33081's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
thanks DEZ! -
I am almost 4 months post-op and for the most part I am doing well. However, I have started having trouble eating, even things that were going down fine. I have moderate pain and discomfort after eating. The pain is from below my sternum to my belly button. Any ideas or has anyone else had this trouble? I take prilosec everyday. Even water hurts mildly.

LOL i laughed hard at the "blaming the cat for shedding" statement. I wonder if I could get by with that?! lmao thanks for sharing! this made a wonderful end to a crappy day -
I am hoping this video will post. If not, it is Slimmfast's latest video on YouTube. She had her surgery done by Dr. Kelly, but is now following up at a bariatric clinic in the states. She's 5 months out and has some good info. Thanks for reading!!

Stomach Stretching
shellbell33081 replied to shellbell33081's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
i have heard others say that it is possible if a person constantly overeats. it's a lot harder to do than with other weight loss surgeries, though. i am going to be careful and play it safe. -

Thanks everyone! I love the support on this site! -
I am about 3.5 months post-op. I have lost 52lbs and am down 3 pants sizes and one shirt size. This hasn't been an easy journey so far, but it definitely gets easier each day. I eat between 600-800 calories/day. I was in pretty good health before surgery and was lucky enough to not need any meds, but I certainly notice a difference in my energy levels and I just feel good all over, even mentally! I could have never had this success without the sleeve. Here are my before and after pics! For some reason they are backwards lol. My before pic is on the right :-p

Thinking Of Postponing My Vsg
shellbell33081 replied to ljperez's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
maybe this surgery is what they need to be forced to take responsibility. you have to do this for you. my daughter is only 5 so i don't know what you are going through. however, i am single and recovered without help. i am my own support system and i've been successful. it's tough but i feel your family is being selfish. they need to realize your health is more important than doing laundry and dishes. i hope you follow through with the surgery. it's the best gift i could have given myself. -
