Happy Turkey Day! I ate way too much! More appitizers than ever (cause I knew they would go down!) But tomorrow I am working out at our new gym so I will work off the spinach dip! My five: 1.Rent -Sound track 2. Cher -greatest hits 3. My friend Laura's Wedding Favor CD it's all beautiful Christian music 4. Any compilation of 70's music 5. In Between Dreams- Jack Johnson These are not my top five I went the variety route. Hope everyone had a bleseed day! I know I don't write much but I read you guys all the time and I think about you during my days whenever band issues or life issues come up, which is all the time!! Thank you so much for sharing here and keeping me on the "band" wagon! Theresa -

Hi Violets, Roar! I am ashamed I don't check in as often as I should. I've been trying to catch up but y'all are a chatty bunch! I am so glad Kat is ok. Speedy recovery to you Kat. I have a question...It may sound silly but I need to ask. Has anyone had trouble with their pre-band shoes? Last night, I was walking in a parking lot in my clogs from last winter and I took a header that felt like it lasted 20 mins. I stumbled, ran a few steps wobbled and then fell flat on my face! My shoes were in two different places, my pocketbook was thrown to the grass! My palms have road rash and my ego was dented pretty hard! After thinking about it I thought maybe my shoes are too wide for my feet now. There were no pebbles or pot holes or anything to blame it on. The shoes feel ok maybe a little loose but I didn't think they were hazardous?! Anyone else experience shoe trouble? Thanks, Theresa -

Hello Violets, Welcome back Tracy sorry your vacation was not relaxing. Hang in there Terri you have the right attitude about it being about health, but I want to see the numbers change too! I had my second session with personal trainer yesterday, whew! She worked me like a dog! I told her my therapist makes me pay for an hour even though it's really only 45 mins and she should do that too, but she wasn't buying it! I am wishing I had some pain meds left from surgery to take the edge off today! Ouch, but a good ouch. I dropped my bunny (JJ Le Bunny 7.5 years old) off at the vet to have his bladder flushed out, he has calcium deposits and I am on my way to the hospital to visit my Mom who has triple phnemonia! We are all supposed to leave on a cruise on Monday but who knows now with Mom in the hosp. the whole family is hoping she gets well enough to join us, there are 16 of us going on this cruise. I want to stress eat like you wouldn't believe! I am actually sitting in Toyota dealership right now getting a 29 min. oil change that they say will be at least an hour!! Sorry to blabber on, but I am really feeling the stress as I type. Just FYI, the bunny doesn't come before my mom in the grand scheme of things, just the order of my day. As I read back it looked like mom was an after thought, not at all. Anyhow drinking my DD Iced Caramel Latte Light and wishing it were a piece of cake. Have a good day violets and say a prayer for my Mom, Bina, thanks! Theresa -

Hi all, Personal trainer kicked my butt! I worked with her before when I was on Weight Watchers but then it all fell apart. I didn't want to start back with her until I was sure I was going to stick with it. With 39 pounds down the exercises were easier and less humiliating. I hate laying on my back on the floor doing crunches, I feel like a turtle on it's back! She is great and she told me to do strength training at least 4 times a week to help the skin tighten up! I feel good now, but I know I am going to be in trouble tomorrow. The Zumba class was fun I was so sweaty. At the end of the class she said to raise your knee and grab it and pull it toward you, well I grabbed my knee but it was so sweaty it slipped out, my foot hit the floor my hands nearly clocked me in the head I looked like Jerry Lewis!!! I don't think anyone noticed anyway. Thanks for all the encouragement ladies, I appreciate it! Theresa -

Hi Violets, Terri I know your pain! I have have been doing one week loss one week stay same, that fear of this not working starts as a whisper and ends up a scream, just tell it to shut up and take it one day at a time. You are doing great and normal life will have us bouncing back and forth between a couple of pounds. Keep to the banster rules and you will pull out of this! Theresa -

Hi Violets, I know I don't post as much as y'all do, but I read everyday. You sure are a chatty bunch! Laura congrats on the lucky day! I am bouncing around here I had my second fill another 1.5 cc for a grand total of 4.5 cc's I have lost 29 lbs. This is my situation, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this: I stopped losing weight at about four weeks out from surgery. I had first fill 3 weeks ago the week after fill I had alot of nausea and I lost nothing I think I went into starvation mode but after a week everything settled down I loosened up a bit and started losing (7 lbs in a week) then I had second fill because even though I was losing I could still eat alot. Now for the last week I have not lost and I have PBed twice, I don't think I am too tight I think I just ate too fast. Hopefully I will start losing again this week. Has anyone else had this experience? Thanks for any advice. -

Hi Violets, I had my first fill today and want to "fill" you in. It went very smoothly, no one told me not to eat before, but I didn't because I knew I was going to weigh in and old habits die hard. (At WW I never ate before weigh in!) I had to lay down and the NP asked me to bare down in order to tighten my stomach mucles, she poked around with her hands and then put the needle in. It didn't hurt any more than giving blood, once she got the needle in, she had to move it around to find the port. It took two tries but she got it on the second one. She said I already had 1cc in there (news to me!)and she put 2ccs in today for a total of 3 ccs. The weirdest part was that while she still had the needle in she asked me to sit up and drink water so she could tell if I was too tight. It didn't hurt just weird to have a needle sticking out of my belly! She told me to make an appointment for two weeks and if I have good restriction I can cancel if not she will add more. She said soft foods for two days, to chew, chew, chew and to eat SLOWLY. I have only had an Isopure and a shake and I feel good. Hope this helps those of you preparing for your first fill, please post your experiences so we can all learn. Goodnight Violets! -

Hi Violets, I broke through!!!!!!!!! I have been stuck for three weeks and today I am down two pounds!!! YEAH I am soooo happy!! Happy Mothers Day to All -
Hi All, I was banded 4/5 and I am feeling great! I have to remind myself I just had surgery, like I wanted to give blood at a blood drive two weeks out, luckily my sister is a nurse practioner and she reminded me while on liquids maybe I shouldn't give blood! Now I have to remember still no heavy lifting. Anyway, my major change has been that my rings are no longer cutting off my circulation! I have been forgetting and sleeping with them on because they fit so well. They used to leave deep inprints on my fingers. Hows that for a NSV? Good luck to all!

I need to tell on myself. I had a bad food day. I made poor choices I ate two chocolate bars! I feel horrible and fat and doomed to stay fat! I will try to do better tomorrow but I am afraid to fall into old patterns. Wish me luck! -

Thanks Terri- Good Luck with your fill! I get mine on May 17 and I cannot wait!! I know it will all work out. I guess being hungry and PMSing at the same time is not a good combo! I haven't had my period since the surgery- I had to go off the pill for surgery and can't get back on till I get it again. Main reason for pill is to fix irregular periods so here I sit! Kat- You and Rick are in my prayers. Thanks all for support! -

Hi All, You all sound so great. I was banded on 4/5 and have been doing great except lately I am very hungry. I know this is called bandster hell but man it sucks I have no restriction. I can't eat like I used to but I can eat more than a cup. I haven't lost a pound since starting mushies and I started exerscing (walking four times a week) Tell me it will get better!!!. -

PB is a productive burp, it is when food you have eaten comes back up but there is nothing else mixed with it like digestive fluids stage before throwing up because the food hasn't reached the lower part of the stomach. If you eat slowly and chew chew chew you can avoid PBing. The herina repair is just one stich nothing to fret over. Good Luck! -
Please don't make yourself crazy! The incisions are nothing I have four insicionsthat are the width of my pinky nail and one near my bellybutton for the port that is about 1.5 inches. They don't hurt at all a little iching but that means they are healing. I had surgery on 4/5 and believe me there is nothing to get anxious about! At first there is no chewing, as all you get are liquids but you start to feel how small your stomic is I haven't eaten yet but I imagine I will have no problem slowing down for fear of blockage. I am a former gulper and I think this issue has been resolved with no help from me. Take it easy.
