I Want To Scream And Have A Tantrum...
LaBelle509 replied to LadyK's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
well said!!It is a hard situation to be in and my heart goes out to you. But the poster is right, you made the choice to have the surgery. You chose a new way of life. Only you have to stick with it. It will make for easy if he followed your path, but as we all know, this is a personal fight and journey. Until I was ready to make a change, my husband who is super fit, could not influence me. I ate what I wanted, when I wanted, and stayed away from the gym. He kept he's eating habit and exercised on a regular basis. Then I reached me breaking point and had the surgery. He embraced me and supported me. he offers help only when ask. You might not be able to push your new habits on your love ones. But let them see you do well and lose the weight as planned. He will come and ask for advice. Stay focus and stay strong. Your actions will speak volume. -

Thnk you! Don't worry about not losing. Stalls are common and a necessary way for the body to balance things. I have been through MANY of them lol! I know it is not easy to look at them in a positive way, but that's all we can do. I do exercise. I am getting ready for a party, so I have been going everyday. Funny enough I only lost 2 lbs but my clothes are falling off of me!! Keep a positive mind, stay hydrated, keep your protein high and everything else low, stay away from the scale( easier said than done) and be patient:) -
"no Longer Her Safe/fat Friend" Lol! 5 Months Pics
LaBelle509 posted a blog entry in LaBelle509's Blog
IT HAS BEEN FIVE MONTHS SINCE MY LIFE CHANGED!! I walked in this morning wearing a new outfit. Complete chaos lol!!!! My "friend" started acting up again. Ever since my surgery, she started a crazy eating pattern and exercise day and night it seems like. She sat there and said NOTHING. Once the other coworkers walked away, we started discussing the day and plans for the weekend. She found a new cool place and was thinking of going there Saturday night. I said awesome and then she said this: this is going to be fun, although I am not sure of "this" new you. You are no longer the beautiful SAFE friend. WTF?!? I smiled and said " what you mean to say is, I am no longer the fat friend and you have seen nothing yet cupcake" This is fuel for me. I am determine to be the beautiful, skinny, unsafe friend. Her and others that think like her, have no idea what's coming P.S I learned today (from my NUT) it is important to keep my calories up above 600 calories. For my body to process protein properly and boost weight loss, my caloric intake have to be at a good level. From 600 to 800 but no higher than 1000 with exercise of course. -
now that has to be rough! I really hope you can cope with this. Stay hydrated and take your B12 for some needed energy.

you look great! congrats on a job well done. I love the new look, the confidence, the nails are FIERCE! lol!! you look great!

I know how you feel! the week following my surgery, I wad a major melt down; my sister was cooking some rice and the smell just drove me over the edge. I CRIED lol!!! but I will let you know, almost six months since my surgery I WILL DO IT AGAIN it was so worth it. You will enjoy all that stuff again in due time. Some won't even appeal to you anymore. Be patient, I know it's hard, the time will come.

Glad to hear you are ok!! I wonder if you could plead with him for a liquid form instead of the pill?! it's so much easier

Don't worry about the drain. Mines came out on day three right before discharge from the hospital. It did not hurt but it was uncomfortable and felt weird. The nurse didn't warn before she started and I didn't know what to expect. Once she saw my face and started moving slower, I was ok.

When Were You Allowed To Eat Nuts?
LaBelle509 replied to Strangefruit's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was allowed nuts at five months only because I was not meeting my caloric needs. 1-2 oz per day. I usually can handle a handful of peanuts after my mid day protein shake. -
that's good! and after being from sugar for so long, having it now might be the reason why you felt that way. Four months after surgery I took a bite of cake. The sugar rush felt like a heart attack. My stomach was upset and it sat with me the whole night. I felt sick and nauseous. The sight of cake grosses me out now:(
