NONNI replied to clynnc's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Howdy, back at ya! I'm here in Houston as well. I was banded about 3 months ago. I to have a hard time w/healty Snacks, But Nuts seem to go down good, and are full of protein! I aslo snack on those Tostito's Light chips w/salsa. for a small meal I some times eat Tomato Soup w/cottage, again lots of Protein. Funny about that one, I never ever liked tomato soup before. Hope that helped you some. I am always looking for new healthy snacks, but am starting to miss the junk food. BUT IT"S NOT WORTH THRE WEIGHT GAIN!!!! kEEP UP THE ALL THE GOOD AND HARD WORK! :funscale: -
How many weeks until you should be able to get your first fill?I was baned on 2/16/07, and got my first fill today. I was really surprised :omg: that the Dr. gave me a fill this soon. Is this normal? I have only lost 10 lbs since I was baned, and was starting to get hungry! From what I understand you are only to be expected to lose 2-3 pounds a weeks. So I guess I am in range. :funscale:

:welcomeB: To LBT! I to had problem with acid reflux! I started taking Nexium a few years before being banded. I now have no acid what so ever! My husband and I both were banded my Dr. Erik Wilson in Houston TX. He to has free seminars, and you can get all your evaluations done in his office. He is a great doctor and his staff is word class. We love that we get to go our follow ups/ fills at the same time. Dr Wilson REALLY cares about his Patience's, and takes his time with us, and listens to all our concerns. Good luck! :funscale:

How long was your hospital stay?
NONNI replied to ATRAVOLTA's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had mine done at a surgery center. Surgery at 10am home by 3pm. Although I don't remember much other than the swallow test. Then waking up in my own bed. I don't remember the trip home at all. I didn't have any pain until the next day. Thank god for liquid pain killers! Good Luck! :funscale: -
:myscared: I was banded on 2/16/07 and most of my incisions have healed with little to no pain, but the one incision highest up is really hurting. My bra sits and rubs on it. Has anyone else had this problem? I had tried all kinds of different styles and even a larger size, but with no luck. It's not like I could even think of leaving the house without wearing one. Anyone have any suggestions? :funscale:

I too had was surprised by the pain and time to heal. I also had the same thoughts as you. By day 9 I turned the corner and was feeling better. Today is day 14 and I went back to work and feel better than ever. Give yourself time. You can do it!

I was just banded on 2/16, and have a desk job. I tried to return to work too soon. I thought I was fine, but was not. I ended up taking the two weeks (short term disability) and am glad I did. I go back to work this Friday. Everyone is different, listen to your body. My doctor told me not to lift any thing over 25lbs over my head. Sounds like this is something you may have to do. Good Luck!
