I know holy crap lol. I keep thinking I've been so myopically obsessed that I must be overlooking something really big. Hopefully not though I'm getting a little emotional the closer it gets. My boys didn't want to watch a movie with me right when I wanted to & I started crying lol. WTH? And, irrationally, I was thinking, I might die in 3 days and you don't want to watch a movie with your mother??? LOL! Silly

Soooo....I've been doing a diet consisting of 2 Protein shakes & 1 salad with protein a day, for 2 weeks before surgery (May 15th). I've lost 6.5 lb in about 10 days and have only "cheated" once by taking a few mouthfuls of some sunflower seeds in a weak moment. According to my BMI, My surgeon only requires me to do a 3 day diet before surgery, which would start tomorrow. Which brings me to my question: I've seriously been craving a certain fast food restaurant. Should I go by there today and pig out since its my last chance basically ever? Since I don't even have to be on this diet at this point anyway what would it really hurt?

Never a clinic? We have surgery centers here in the US people go to all the time. From what I read they sometimes do the sleeve outpatient...

Just to update you all - I'm home now and I did NOT go to Sonic to eat lol. Ive just had my two shakes today and I'm planning an awesome salad with friends for tonight for dinner, then it's liquids until surgery Tuesday! Nervous!!!

My friend gave me a 30% off coupon to GNC & I thought I would go use it today because I leave for surgery Monday morning. I know you guys say not to stock up because tastes change, but if you were me, what do you think I should get? I'm headed to San Diego Monday and I'm also questioning my decision. Never thought in a million years that I would question it. I've been wanting surgery for over 10 years (joined obesity help in April 2002). Now that it's becoming so real and so imminent, I'm just really questioning it. Logically I know it's my solution, just emotionally I'm struggling a bit. I guess that's perfectly normal though, so I'm just trying to hang out & chill a bit.

Yes I have Verizon. I got my iPhone about 2 months ago or so, and love it. I had a variety of palms before and was too loyal apparently, I should have gotten an iPhone a long time ago

Yeah that's what I plan on doing. I called them about a month ago & supposedly lol, by putting it in airplane mode, that prevents any sort of messaging, cellular or data usage outside of wifi. So according to them that would make me safe. I tried airplane mode at home & connected to our wifi & made a few Skype & FaceTime calls & it worked perfectly, so I feel great about it. If you didn't put it in airplane mode and even just received texts and never sent any, I think it was something like $0.50 each, so that could amount to a lot

Well FaceTime does use data, but wifi is free at the hospital. And by using airplane mode, you can ensure that you won't accidentally use airtime & get a huge bill Just a thought for those who have FaceTime or a Skype app

I think with Skype, you can call regular phone numbers right? You might experiment with it before you go, it might save you a few bucks

I'm leaving on Monday for Tijuana and i'm putting my iPhone in airplane mode & hooking up to the hospital & hotel's wifi. I've got FaceTime as well as Skype on my phone so we can video chat, voice chat, or text message that way for free. I can also access Facebook, VST lol and any other sites I want to from my phone that way without any extra expense

I cheated too for the first time. I had a bunch of sunflower seeds that I got for a Spanish salad....

I am 31 and i'm ready to be sexy too i'm also a size 18 & i'm in nursing school I used to think fat was a dirty word and I wouldnt ever have told people I was going to have surgery....but in the past couple of years (thanks to my bff & her hubby who are 100-200 lb overweight) I am less embarrassed by it. Dont get me wrong, i hate it and i hate how i look, but im just not so embarrassed about it. I announced my surgery on Facebook & don't really care what people think of it. It's not like it's a secret that i'm fat I even told them that it's in Mexico. Facebook is how my mother-in-law found out lol & she wondered why I didn't tell her in person. She's worried about long-term effects. I've also had someone tell me that they wouldn't even drink the Water in Mexico let alone have surgery there. I told her I would bring her home a bottle of tap water when I get back lol.

Haha Glenda, that's funny. I'll be leaving the hospital next Thursday, which I think is the day you'll be getting there, so maybe we'll run into each other Can't wait!

Yeah, it's like the thinner people around us WANT us to eat. I've been fine for this whole pre-op diet for the most part, until I got that dang text from Sonic yesterday & now I've been wanting a Sonic burger ever since....Sonic kind of tastse like Wannaburger, or is it Whataburger lol? I don't remember which was which

I was doing just fine after the first couple days and then yesterday (day 8 of two week diet) I got a text from Sonic an I've been craving it ever since. Can't get Sonic off my mind lol.
