I am 9 wks pregnant. I have chosen to NOT have fluid removes from my band. I have had NO morning sickness and I've already gained 5 lbs. There is no legitimate reason for me to have my fluid removed. Bypass and/or sleeve patients can't "adjust" the size of their stomachs so I see no reason for me to adjust mine. My ob is supportive & we have agreed as long as baby is healthy & growing and I am able to eat and keep it down then fluid stays. If things change & I can not keep food down fluid will come out.

I had my band surgery August 2008. I weighed 363 when I started 6 month mandatory diet. I weighed 300 lbs day my band was placed. Today I weigh 155 lbs. It has been a journey, I have learned a lot. I am 100% happy with my band. My sister just had sleeve surgery this past January she lost 30 lbs prior to surgery and since going from liquid/mushy diet to regular diet she has regained some of that. Her journey has just started
