I'm sorry that you are still in pain, I did not suffer any pain at all, only the shoulder pain from the gas but lasted 2-4 hours for 2 days and that was all, I'm having problems with losing lbs. I'm still at 10 lbs lost. I want to start doing exercise, but I'm afraid that the sweat will infect my incisions, one of them is not healing well, but doesn't hurt. About the not losing weight, yesterday I was thinking that all of this was just a waste of money, I'm eating just as I was told and still I'm not losing weight, I need this to work for me, I paid for my surgery and I need to see results, sorry to vent I know it's going to happen but all my family is watching me and I'm getting anxious

My Dr. told me tht I'll have my first fill on week 6 since the surgery, I'm looking forward to it

Hi!!! I was banded on July 24, and since the surgery I'm down 10 lbs, I lost the 10 lbs in my first week and nothing since then, I'm starting to feel frustrated about it my Dr. gave me a diet of 800 calories a day and I'm eating solid foods already, I'm not cheating and I'm drinking a lot of water, I don't know why I can't lose more weight

I don't know why I'm not losing weight, here is what I'm eating I do not know how to count calories and my Dr. didn't gave an specific diet 9:00 a.m. Protein Shake 1:00 p.m. Chicken Broth w/veggies 5:00 p.m. Chicken Breast w/veggies 10:00 p.m. Soup or ff jello I'm eating 3 to 5 oz each time, if you have any comments or suggestions I would really appreciate it. I'm post op and no fills

We used to have that problem too Sasha but now we have 2 blankets lol I want boots that fit and be able to wear skirts and dresses again, I want to feel sexy again and go boxing with my husband, I just want to be able to have fun again

I'm having a lot of shoulder pain and I feel really bloated, do you guys know any home remedies for this???

This is my 5 day since the surgery and I'm down 10 lbs!!!! I'm so happy, I did not loose anything prior the surgery since I was not required to do the liquid diet, so this is big for me lol but still I'm so hungry at all times

I had my surgery on Tuesday and wasn't hungry the first two days but now it's day 5 and I'm hungry as hell lol let me know how are you doing

I work as a translator at a legal office, I had my surgery last Tuesday and I'm ready to go back, I took one week off

I had my surgery yesterday it all went great, I don't have any pain, but to tell the truth I'm sooo hungry , any sugestions?

I'm 26 5 ft tall and 240 pounds and I just foy banded yesterday

I'm getting banded in 2 weeks my surgery date is July 24, I'm so excited and can't wait, but friends, family and co-workers are not helping, they all say that it doesn't work, or that I'm going to feel so bad afterwards, that I'm going to vomit all the time and that I won't get rid of all the weight. None of them have the band but they'all have friends who are banded and this is why they are "informing me" of all the bad things that could happen. I'm so angry at them, I was so focused and happy about all this process.

Thank you all for your support!!! I'm getting the band there is no doubt about it, I already pay for it lol, and I'm going to stay positive and stay around, I hope I could be sharing before/after photos with you all next year

I’m feeling under the weather right now, I was so excited last week because I thought that the bank was going to approve my credit, I’m going to pay the surgery all by myself, but yesterday call me and told me they only approved part of it, I do not what else to do to get the money, I really want the band and we do not have insurance here in Mexico, so I guess I’m gonna have to wait until next year...

right now I work 9 to 5 at a legal office, but my husband is unemployed, I also own a handbag boutique so I don't think I can find the time to work a second job but I will consider the idea lol maybe on saturdays or something, I'm just hoping my hubby can find a job :/

Thanks to all for your responses, I live in Mexico and I'm not sure we have that option, and there's only one good Dr. that does this procedure in my city and he does not finance any part of the procedure, going outside my city to find a new doctor only will increase my expenses, I know he is great I've seen his work and know a couple of success stories from their patients, I think I just have to be patient and look for an extra income I'm trying to stay positive!!!

what kind of exercise are you doing? how much have you loss?? Keep the good work, I wish I can be in your place

Hi, my name is Lucy and I'm from Mexico, I've been doing a lot of research about the band and I found this support group, and now I visit it everyday, I'm getting the lap-band as soon as I have the money, or until December of this year, I really need the support since I'm not telling my family only my mom and husband knows, my husband is concerned about the change and thinks I won't be able to recover from it, I know it's going to be hard but I know it's for the better and I know I can do it. If you guys have any advice please feel free to share
