am i suppose to feel like this?
Doreykn replied to jessicab's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went through the same thing too. My favorite was beef & chicken broth. My family thought I was crazy when I told them how good the broth was! I just savored every sip! I found 2 kinds of liquid protein that I dilute with water & freeze til just slushy. One I found at Walmart & has 26 grams of protein & the other has 42 grams of protein & I found that at Meijer's. You can probably purchase them online too. First was by Body Fortress & the other was New Whey. I have also found Gas-X strips help with the gas & bloating! I do whey protein powder mixed with Fat-free milk & ice in the blender. The colder the better I have found! I aslo use Ocean Spray sugar-free powder drink mix(Cran-Pomegranate)in my water as water gets real boring. Or try Crystal Light. Good luck. -

Hi LUCYCAT, I would love to be a sleeve buddy. There's a support group close to me once a month, but I have no transportation in the evening when the meetings are held! I'm new to this site. I read more & more posts everyday. I had my sleeve done Oct.26th,2011, so I'm only 2 weeks into my journey....

Hi, my name is Dorey. I had my sleeve done on Oct.26,2011...at Henry Ford Hospital in Wyandotte, Michigan. Dr.Bilal Kharbutli was my surgeon. They do offer monthy support groups, but I don't have a car available at the times of the meetings! Will figure something out to make it to future meetings! Good Luck to all... -
I am day two of my 10 day preop liquid diet and so far i am having a terrible time tolerating the protein shakes.
Doreykn replied to onenurseforu's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I found some liquid protein that's not as bad as the powdered stuff. It's called " New Whey Liquid Protein"...I found some at Walmart & Meijer. They do have different flavors. I find them to be to thick like syrup so I dilute them with a bottle of water. There is a website too...www.newwhey.com. The ones I have bought have 42 grams of protein. Hope it helps & good luck! :smile5: -

I found some liquid protein that isn't as bad as the shakes. It has 42 grams of protein. I dilute them because they are just too sweet for me.I found them at Walmart & Meijer's...New Whey Liquid Protein, 0 fat & 0 sugar. Website is www.newwhey.com . I find these much easier to swallow then the shakes! Good luck to all! It does get better! :wink1: -
