I love baked boneless, skinless chicken breast. Or I cook them in the crock pot, so they are nice & tender. Cut up into SMALL bite size pieces. A pork loin in the crock pot is great too. Turkey is good, tuna salad with FF or low-fat mayo, egg salad, salmon loaf. All pretty easy to make too.

I wish I would have thought to take my measurements before my Sleeve... But I know from the way clothes fall off of me, that I'm losing everywhere!
-
Nadz...Won't be long & you'll be able to have some "CRUNCH"...that's what I missed too! Now, I eat Whole=Wheat or multi-grain crackers & toast. This is a great support system!

Just keep your eye on the prize! LOL!!! I know it's hard, but you can do it! I let my family eat anything they wanted around me, because I knew the Sleeve was what I wanted! My choice... Good luck!

Did Medications Help You?
Doreykn replied to andi0120's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I came home with Reglan for nausea & Prevacid for heartburn. Just got off the Prevacid. Dr only keeps you on it for about 90 days! So, one less pill in the morning! Never needed the Reglan. I also had liquid Tylenol # 3 for pain. I used Tylenol #3 pills before surgery for knee pain. Never really needed it after I came home. Knees only have occasional pain... now that I have dropped 64 lbs! Good luck. I feel this has been the best decision I have ever made for myself! -
The Good The Bad And The Ugly

You all are doing great. Everyone is different & lose at a different pace. If you are at a stall, step up on the exercise a little bit. It doesn't take much to get it going again. Good luck! -
I Can't Believe It! I'm Down Three Sizes!
Doreykn replied to bonbon0576's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
When I finally bought some "new" jeans I went to resale shops. I figured, I'm not paying full price for jeans I'm not going to be in for long. I went from a size 22 to an 18. I will be shopping again for "resale jeans" for smaller sizes real soon! -

Has Anyone Tried New Whey Protien Liquid?
Doreykn replied to Merydia710's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I use these too! I buy them at Meijer. $2.99 each & they have 4 or 5 flavors. I also buy some from Sam's club, and those have 32g of protein, they are called MET-Rx Protein Plus. Better than drinking a shake all the time & my nutritionist said that they are good to use! I also use Atkins protein bars, Peanut Butter Granola is the best! -
Calcium Vs. Calcium Citrate
Doreykn replied to Happy Camper's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Citracal is Calcium Citrate +D3... regular Calcium is not easily digested by our sleeves. I get the petites that are easier to swallow. It does not require food or stomach acid for absorption. Hope this helps. -

Day 1 On Mushies And Stomach Feels Weird

I ate my fill of Fat Free cottage cheese & applesauce. Loved the combination. Egg salad was good with fat free mayo & mustard.. Scrambled eggs did NOT sit well with my sleeve. We live & learn. I ate a lot of Cup a Soup too! Creamy chicken was my favorite. Good luck... -
I'm in Riverview, MI...20 minutes south of Detroit. Had my sleeve done at Henry Ford-Wyandotte Hospital. Dr Kharbutli did mine & I'm very happy with the staff @ his office!

I Wish Someone Had Told Me....
Doreykn replied to ShouldBlittler's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow! Sounds like I was a lucky one...No tube down my throat when I woke up & no drains! I did have a sore throat for about a week. But nothing I couldn't handle. I was off pain meds after a day being home. I just need to get my butt on my exercise bike more. Good Luck to all. I feel this was the best thing I have done for myself! -
Congratulations!

Owww. Never Again !
Doreykn replied to monalisa1010's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I first tried bread I had multi-grain toast... I still don't eat plain bread & never will. I love rice but will only eat wild rice & only if I have room AFTER I eat my protein & veggies. I have a problem eating shrimp. So I will avoid it for a while. Live & learn, but heal first! If you like crackers, try whole wheat or multi-grain & take tiny bites! Hope you're feeling better! -
