Days 1-7 of the pre-op diet: -2 protein shakes (each must have over 15gm of protein and under 200 calories) -1 meal that is under 300 cal, 15 carbs and over 15 gm of protein. They gave me a very short list of Lean Cuisines and Smart Ones meals that meet this profile. -At least 64 oz of water per day. -All of the sugar free jello, popsicles and broth that I want and Powerade Zero. Days 8-13 pre-op: -4 protein shakes (each must have over 15gm of protein and under 200 calories) -At least 64 oz of water per day. -All of the sugar free jello, popsicles and broth that I want and Powerade Zero. Day 14 (day before surgery) Clear liquids only, nothing after midnight.

Weight Watchers Online: Support Thread
mrspopeye replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
This is a great website to check points value of tons of restaurants: exercise4weightloss.com. I always try to pre plan my restaurant meals. Sometimes I print it out and take it with me to the restaurant. -
I found out Friday that May 14th is my surgery date too! I did the shopping thing too this weekend. I went back to Weight Watchers 4 weeks ago because I really have a hard time the first two weeks of a diet. I call it my detox. I am on the first day of the pre-op diet and this will take some getting used to. Remember we are all here to support you for the "mental game."

I'm on day ONE- already feeling weak and headache. I hope this gets better. At least it's temporary.

Numbness Below Incisions
mrspopeye replied to running_scared's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The swelling is causing compression on the nerve endings, causing the numbness. When the swelling goes away, then numbness should too. I fit does not, then I would ask the doctor about it. -

Great idea about the Progresso soups. I have also read that you can make your own with lots of vegetables and some chicken bullion and drain that too. -

Texas Hospital bans healthcare workers with BMI over 35 http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/04/05/eeoc-texas-hospital-that-bars-obese-workers-not-necessarily-discriminatory/ What do you guys think? I know plenty of great obese nurses as well as plenty of terrible skinny ones. I'm sure you do too. -
