First off, congrats on the little one on the way. It's life changing. Also, another big congrats on the weight loss. It's amazing. Those 2 things alone will mess with any stable relationship. ESPECIALLY one that is in the first year. Of course she's feeling left behind and a little jealous. You have lost so much weight, and she's going to be gaining. It's a hard moment when you hit a big stall in your relationship. But nothing worth having comes easy. I think, IMO, that the best thing would be to either sit calmly with her, explaining your feelings and fears, and ask her to do the same. Sometimes, all it take it putting it out there. Now, how you bring it up makes a huge difference. Don't just go to, what is wrong with you lately. This will make anyone mad. Just plainly state that lately you've noticed some changes, (state them) and that you would like to know if there's anything you can do to help. And it's ok to like outside compliments. Just realize that she was there literally through thick and thin.

Someone Slap Me, Please - Need Motivation!
Star1221 replied to ocean_ophelia's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The first thing you might want to do is detox yourself again. Miss Diva's Boot camp diet will get you back and going in the right direction. Congratulations on the 75 pounds off. That is incredible. You stated that you were 5 below goal? Now is the time to start maintenance part of your journey. We all will eventually add some bad stuff back into our diets. We are human. It's good that you realized that you were going too far and needed to stop this. Just remember, water and proteins always come first to keep us healthy. You will get this taken care of. -

How Soon After Surgery Can I Resume Competitive Eating Contests?
Star1221 replied to randalljohn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's one thing that I've noticed as well. Watching people eat, even normally, is disgusting. All the fat and carbs... And the amount alone. -
Loose Sking Before Surgery
Star1221 replied to Alexandra39's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Some companies do cover the lower skin removal if it's deemed "medically necessary". It can cause pain and rashes and other problems. Check, yours just may -

Stand Still & No Loss
Star1221 replied to courtney333's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Everyone is different with weight loss. I learned early not to compare myself to others. There are lots of factors. The pre op diet, amount of weight they have to lose, when their foods change. I went into a 3 week stall when I was allowed to actually eat...(I was a liquids for 5 weeks. One week clear, 4 weeks full). I'm 10 weeks out Thursday and down 42 pounds. Yes there are some who are down 60 plus, but this is my journey. I'm enjoying it in my own way. Down from a 22 to a loose 16... So happy. Enjoy it. You learn a lot about yourself -
What Did You Eat For The First Week After Surgery?
Star1221 replied to Karen2012's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
Eat? You are supposed to eat the first week... lol. Clear liquids. Jello, tea, water, crystal light, broth. All room temp or warmer. But I don't know what your dr said you were allowed. Cold didn't go down well. -
Stand Still & No Loss
Star1221 replied to courtney333's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You've lost 18 pounds in 2 weeks? That's incredible. Have you ever lost 18 pounds in 2 weeks before,,, Think about that. That being said, almost every person is going to have a stall. I don't know what step of the post op diet you are on, but my only thing is to drink drink drink, and get your protein in. As long as you take care of those two things, weight will move again. -

Star1221 replied to ooffa511's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just fantastic. And that's just in 2 months. Imagine how wonderful you'll look in 2 more months. I'm so excited for you :-) -
Ok, so this morning I was doing my normal post workout shower. Planned on going swimming tonight and shaved as well. I shave EVERYTHING. For the first time in maybe in 10 years I was able to SEE what I was shaving... Not just by feeling. Had to share. Figured some would understand my excitement. lol

Totally understand that. My weakness is cake and ice cream. I've been around it and can turn it down due to sheer motivation, but what if I still love it? I know this surgery isn't a fix all and suddenly you're fixed from all the bad habits you had with the fatty food, but was hoping my sleeve would set some "off limits" signs for me.

No. No fruit yet. Sugar free syrups work well. Unless you are cleared do it, don't do it. You need time to heal
