Exactly. My favorite this far is, "oh... So you're my size now" with a sad look. Like they can't believe they're that big... Uh yeah, you're a size 14... Me too lol

Stalls are temporary. This is when we notice changes in our body. I had one that lasted almost 4 weeks. Then it starts coming off again. 35 pounds is huge. Celebrate each pound. I do a little happy dance for each one

Question About Higher Bmi Vs Weightloss?
Star1221 replied to READY TO LOSE IT's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I don't know what's normal, but I had a bmi of 42. As of this morning I've lost 67 pounds. This is from 4/18 till now. -
I grew up with this. I'm from upstate New York. Hadn't thought about this for a while. Now it's all I want lol

I think that they were thinking and/nervous. Some people just aren't public speakers. I noticed it as well. Think it's the equivalent to "um" lol. That's why everyone should go through some sort of community theater. Builds confidents and allows you to feel comfortable with people watching

Sarabee, I just wanted to chime in for a second. I think you are being entirely to hard on yourself. But, we are our own worst critics. From your pic, I see warm eyes and a beautiful smile. I know you'll probably think it's just lip service. But you're a stranger, and I have no reason to just try to flatter you. But I do think you have body dismorphic disorder if you really believe all you've said about yourself. None of us on here started off as models. We all had issues with our image, or most would not have done this surgery. And going off of the full list of ailments, this would probably help you lots (I have degenerative disk disease, so I kinda know the feeling, though not comparing it to your's). If it's worth having, it's worth fighting for. And for a while the sleeve feels like an uphill battle. Just know you have support here. People who are brand new to people who are years out. All you have to do is ask for help. Feel better honey. I promise it gets easier. Just hang in there

I am on Mirana. No hassles and haven't had any negative side effects. Just make sure if you get it you have insurance that covers it.

I went 3 and a half weeks with no movement. Yes it is disheartening, but just know it will move. Mine stalled at 229. When it did start moving, it moved pretty fast. Five pounds a week. Just keep on what you are doing. Get your water in. It will move. There's no way for it not to if you are making the right choices.

Great job. You can really tell. Keep it up. 200's are just around the corner

Any Danger From Staples Popping Out?
Star1221 replied to Patrick Curl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The staples look good actually Patrick. Just take it easy. If they hurt is the only time I would worry. Since they are coming out tuesday, it also wouldn't hurt if one did come out.. It wouldn't like bust open is what I mean. And that's right... 13" could be some heavy lifting lol. Sorry, I had remembered that from a prior post. -
Pre Op Magnesium Citrate 4 Hours Ago, Nothing Happening
Star1221 replied to reneeclark1276's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It could happen in 15 minutes or 15 hours.. Just stick close to a toilet. When it comes, it's not going to give you lots of warning... LOL. And it is the nastiest stuff ever. -
How Often Do You Have A Bm?
Star1221 replied to KeepingMySoul's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is normal. And may be normal. I use miralax. And when I think I really have to go, MOM (milk of magnesia). This is what doc said to use. -
Some say it is from the anesthesia. Some think lack of certain nutrients, and of course the protein. We are supposed to get 60-80 grams of protein a day. Most get that amount. And of course we are all told to take a small meal's worth of vitamins.

Hair loss... It is inevitable. Most of us will have it. Some very little. Some, it may be about half the amount of hair they have currently. But know this, it is temporary. It will grow back. Some say biotin may help it. I currently take it and use Nioxin. The Nioxin is a shampoo that makes your hair look thicker and may promote faster growth. You will notice the thinning more than anyone. It starts around 3 months and should stop around 6-9 months. From what I am told, it grows back the way it was. It's a small price for me, but this happens with most surgeries. Good luck.

Resturant Card To Print Out
Star1221 replied to Looking Ahead's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I order normally. It's not everyone's business. I just eat the leftovers the next meal or day. It's funny how they look at you and you've only eaten 1/4 of the meat and none of the sides.. LOL -
Breast, Boobs, Bubbies, Chest-L, Tits!
Star1221 replied to whitniccole's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I've always been a big girl... So what if you don't know what size you were lol. Started puberty and gained boob and weight over night. Was a D in 5th grade. Was a nice 40DD before surgery. Now they look sad... And I think they are D's. Saving to fix them though lol -
Weightloss Expectations
Star1221 replied to dooter55's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
To be completely honest, there really is not telling. Each person is different with losing. Just like men lose faster than women. It also depends how much you have to lose. Just know at first is always the fastest. -
The gas (both up and down) is completely normal. Also, the weird gurgles and squeaks too. It will all start calming down about a week out.

Surgey In 5 Days :-0
Star1221 replied to phillygirl8133's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
First, take a breath. I don't think there is one single person on this board that can honestly say that they didn't feel this way. Lord knows I did. But the morning of surgery, I had a calmness that came over me. I knew I was doing the right thing. You are smart to question it. But I can honestly tell you it is the best thing I have ever done for myself. This surgery is very safe. You will make it just fine. Just keep a positive attitude and you will be great.
