When Did You Start To Really Notice?
Star1221 replied to aaron1976's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Agreed... I still see myself as the same as what I started. The only way I notice is going down in pant size. But I compare myself to people who are obviously bigger than me. -

(Tmi) Sorry Ladies I Need Your Help Here Please.
Star1221 replied to Karen2012's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Having surgery can do a lot to your TOM. Think of all the hormones that are stored in fat. So for it to last longer than normal happens often. Or make it come early. Or late, in my case. Plus while TOM visits, you hold water weight. It will go. Just be patient. -

Then why so many cougars? Lol -
I have two dogs. They both acted the same towards we. But animals sense when something is not right. They can sense emotions and feelings. So maybe you're putting out something different. Maybe you're not feeling yourself or tired or depressed. My dogs will act different when I am stress than when I am normal.

Stalled 2 1/2 Weeks, Can't Exercise!
Star1221 replied to cariekap's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can tell you from personal experience that it will come off. Your body is catching up the surgery. I stalled for almost 4 weeks. Yes it happens. Yes it's stressful, but I bet if you take a pic of your face, You'll notice it's thinner more than likely. Most importantly is fluids. Make sure you get the most you can. When I stall for a while now, I drink extra and it kicks the weight loss back in. Good luck honey. The scale will move. -
I don't know. I can still vividly describe the worst food I've ever had (buttermilk if you're wonderingly lol), but can honestly say I can't remember the worst sex. I think I just put it out of my mind. And I think it WAS because it WAS over quickly lol

WOW Lissa!!!! That totally rocks. I am so happy for you. I think you really should go out dancing

Are These Symptoms Normal? - Please Help!
Star1221 replied to TinaMari's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The gurgling and grunting were my favorite part lol. It is normal. Yes still eat. It will calm down a lot over the next couple of weeks. You're tummy is going to be sore for a bit. Mine was only a week or so, some I see a few weeks out are still hurting. Just take your pain meds when needed. Lastly, the BM... Mine was a week. Milk of Magnesia and Miralax are real good friends of mine. They should help you a lot. Congrats. -
I think it's because we're all pretty proud of ourselves. If you would've asked me my weight 4 months ago... Oh hell no lol.

Menstrual Cycle
Star1221 replied to SleeveandRNYchica's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh yeah. I was 2 weeks late. Freaked for a minute.. lol. But every woman I have seen has either started that day or the next, or was late. Your body had trauma so it tries to react the best it can. Plus with all the hormones being she from the fat so fast (pre op diet) it get's confused. Good luck. Welcome to the loser's bench -
I was Sleeved by Dr. Michael King in Oxford, MS. Starting BMI was 42.2. I weighed 276 (Down 25 pounds from my largest) Including pre op diet (20 lbs) and post op (48 lbs). I now weight 208. 3 months out.

This is perfectly normal. I think everyone who is about to have any kind of surgery, whether elective or necessary, has this feeling. It's a big deal. You would be crazy not to be at least a little nervous. Weird thing for me is I had a calm that came over me. I knew it was right as I was laying there waiting to go back. I was confident in my surgeon. That's the most important part. He's never lost anyone. Only had 1 leak in the 3000 surgeries he's done, and that was in the first 10 he did. He has his method down pat. So breath, relax and know that it's not going to be easy, but it's going to be worth it. Good luck on surgery and can't wait to have you on the loser's bench.

Wow... Sexy chica. You look fantastic. Congratulations
