Looking tasty there. Now I see why you had an "ah ha" moment in the mirror. Thank you for sharing

I drink a shake every morning. Could I eat what I need to get my protein, yes. But I get up at 2:30, gym from 4-5, work at 6-3, then home to take care of my 18 month old. So it's convenient lol. I was at 5 weeks when I stalled. I stalled for 4 weeks. Just up your fluids, protein first, and exercise. It will fall off again. During that time I saw my BODY change, even though the scale was at a stand still.

Mine not only was irregular, but they were long, and heavy. I've been on Mirena for a year with no help. Lost the weight I have thus far, and they do come more on time, and are shorter... By like 4 days.... Still heavy though. So yes, it has helped quite a bit.

No Wt Loss In 9 Days...... Only Little Over 4 Weeks Out?
Star1221 replied to lil4heartz's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is completely normal. It's about the time when I had my big stall. Mine lasted for about 4 weeks. All I can say is make sure you're getting all of your liquids in, protein first, watch your carb intake, and exercise(walk, don't know what your dr released you for). It will start coming off again. I am just about 4 months out and I drop at least 2 to 3 pounds a week. Just stay focused on the main prize. -

Hello all. Had an amazing week for nsv and scale victories... Officially in a 14... Haven't been there for 18 years. Officially hit onederland (198 for 2 days). I weigh 5 pounds less than my husband. And have been getting hit on daily (I love attention lol). I just had to share it with people who understand. Hope everyone else is having an outstanding week -
Holy Crap, I'm Getting Hot!

Thank you. This is exactly what I want to feel like (a little of what I feel now lol). We work so hard to get where we are. And after all of the years of looking down on ourselves, don't we deserve to be, dare I say, cocky? Yes we do dammit. Yes you do. So strut your strut and enjoy every moment. Congratulations. Did a little happy dance for you at my desk -
I had a drink at 6 weeks out. No issues what so ever. The tipsiness is different though. I would be buzzed, then sober, then buzzed then sober... It was fun lol

Completely normal. If you are about to start your TOM, or are on it, a lot of people gain weight or stall until it's over. This is just water weight. Just drink extra fluid and it will flush it from your body.

Labor Day Challenge 2012

SW-213 CW-200 GW-198 So close I can taste it -
I week clear... 4 weeks full.

I used to, yes. Then someone gave me some great advice.... You need to drink more before you go to bed. The start of dehydration can make you queezy. Once I started making sure I got extra fluids before I went to bed, not again since. I hope this helps.

Starting weight 213 Current weight 203 Goal weight 198 I think I can get 5 more pounds... -
I go with Adkins. Low carb, taste pretty good. 10-15 protein. So not too bad at all.

Star1221 replied to SLEEVEDNBEAUTIFUL's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Believe it or not, there's not many of us from MS. Considering it is the most obese state in the nation.. Congrats of the September date. I used Dr. King in Oxford. -

You would have to confirm that with your dr. I used Atkins shakes. They tasted good. They kept me full. And there are several flavors. But as far as I know, skim milk would be ok. But not the yogurt, PB, or banana. Good luck.

I'm Having Trouble!
Star1221 replied to Changing B4YourEyes's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am sorry you are having issues. There's a couple of things you can do to help you get your Fluid in. Try changing the temp of the liquid. I could only do room temperature or warmer. broth and tea were my saviors. Also, take a shot glass, or something else that is about an ounce, (I was given med cups) and make sure you are trying to drink one every 15 minutes. That's 4 oz an hour. In 16 hours, you will have your 64 oz. It's a job at first to get fluid.. Heck, I still miss my goal on many days. Just make sure you're not already dehydrated. The "what have I done" thought, most know it well. It will get better. You're still swollen and freshly cut. I am 3 months out and almost forgot about the beginning. Good luck honey. It will get better. -
