I Don't Think My Dr Was As Happy As I Was
Star1221 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved April 18th. So I had an appointment a week out and then today. Since surgery I'm down 26 pounds. Add that to preop, in 6 1/2 weeks I'm down 46 pounds. I am ecstatic. That almost 50 lbs off. He looked at me and was like "now you gotta start working on it. You need to workout and eat right. This is up to you. We want to make sure you get as much me your weight off in the first year. You gotta be accountable." WTF?! I get up 2:30 am 5 days a week to work out do at least an hour before work. I walk my daughter in her stroller when I get home. I hadn't chewed anything in 7 weeks and only ate 3 times a day. What more can I do? Only good part is I'm allowed food now. Do you think I took it wrong? Gah... Sorry guys... Needed to vent. -
The noises are so funny lol. Yes it all stops... For the most part. Every once in a while it I still squeak and groan lol. As for gas, walking helped it big time. Gas x stripes as well. Week 2 it starts getting so much easier.

If there is something like diabetes or hypoglycemia that could keep you from doing this, let your dr know. They may be able to allow you to do a small high protein meal a day.

I Don't Think My Dr Was As Happy As I Was
Star1221 replied to Star1221's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you guys. I needed to be validated on what I thought. And wasn't even adding the 10 pounds of Fluid after surgery I had to lose again lol. I owe everything to my stressful job, a SPRINTING 15 month old, and the fact that only fluids have passed my lips in 7 weeks lol. Had some chicken today... Let's just say "shades of gray" had nothing on that first bite lol. I may not be losing like some people, but this is my journey. I have to do it myself. With the research I've done, and the support of you guys, I think I have a good game plan. And a 46 pound head start :-) -
I said it needed vodka, not swap it. That's why your tummy is throwing fits lol

Not Cool! Frustration To The Max!
Star1221 replied to Peachygal7's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's a stall honey. I was at one for almost 2 weeks. Just get your water and protein in. Your body just caught up and is screaming "what the h*ll are you doing to me?" I'm only a week further than you. It just started back. Don't focus on weight either. I took pics of my stomach during this stall. Took one last night... A huge difference. Your body may change, just not your weight. Hang on. -
Lies lol. You added vodka didn't you lol. So happy it wasn't too bad for you. Good luck today.

Doubled post... Oops. And also meant to say full liquids lol

It's ok Momsie... Hunger is ok. First we're losing weight so fast it's releasing hormones and new, one of those his ghrelin or whatever lol. It's stored in our fat. Plus I'm also 5 weeks out. I'm only on clear liquids (appointment tomorrow. New food here I come lol) I luckily don't really get hungry that much. I only eat 3 times a day right now including my shake... Yes only one. It alone takes almost 2 hours to drink. I drink A LOT. Sometimes when I'm hungry I take a few swallows of water and it subsides. It will ease up.

Take it slow honey. Have you tried different temps of water? My stomach spasmed at first with cool water and cold. Keep your head up. It will stop. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

Think that's why I jumped there. Been thinking about Jack all day and my young days lol. But, to be completely honest, I'm always in the gutter lol -

My mind went straight to the gutter. Gotta admit... Thought you were going to say it was because you were... Hmmm... How do you say?... Rougher lol. But keep with boxer briefs unless for sexy date. Better for your boys and less movement :-) -
Pre-Op Weightloss Wow!
Star1221 replied to Ready2Bthin's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I lost 20 in 12 days. It is possible. In 6 weeks I've lost 43 pounds. That includes the 20 lost preop. -
1000-1400 Cal/day At 3 Months Post Op
Star1221 replied to windycitymom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
From what I have been seeing you should be around 600-800 calories. 1200 calories is for maintenance time. When you have reached your goal. -
Sound Off On Post Op Appetite
Star1221 replied to feszyk's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I get hungry. And yes, sometimes I let myself get too empty, like when I have long meetings. But even taking a drink of water eases this feeling. I never expected hunger to completely disappear. I mean when your stomach gets empty, it's going to tell you. Just know you'll fill easy, and as long as you choose the right choices you'll lose weight. -
1 Week Post Op, And Only Down 2Lbs. Frustrated :(
Star1221 replied to Cmani's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Barrbdoll is right. I walked out of the hospital 10 pounds heavier. Give it time. I know I expected it to just fall off after surgery. It was like I went through all of this and only this much. It's a journey. Take time and actually enjoy it. It's all new experiences and feelings. Happy moments of little victories. Congrats on being sleeved. :-)
