Bruning Feeling
Star1221 replied to daly contreras's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Do you take prevacid or anything for acid? Are you eating spicy food? How long has this been happening. You might have eaten something that aggravated you sleeve. I would step back and maybe go on liquids a couple of days to see if that works. If it is really bad though, I would go to the dr. Better safe than sorry. I am sorry for your discomfort. -

My whole life is full of sexual connotations lol. This just made me giggle so many times. My coworkers stared at me a couple of times today. Who would've thought that tunnel of carnage could have so many pretty names lol. -
Wow everyone! Everyone is rocking. And congrats happie on 100 pounds. You are rocking your sleeve hard. So jealous of all you big losers :-)

Apparently you've never had a kid. You lose all shame after that. 10 people pushing and pulling and stretching on it. And you're awake for that. At least this way you'd be asleep lol -

Who wants to be virginal? Lol. Just slightly less "hollow". Lol. Not too worried about that due to kegals. Worried about the chunky/drooping coot lol. -

Never thought there was such a thing lol. Now I can tell my husband I need that too lol. -
I know stalls are normal. I expected to have them. But I'm only 7 weeks out. I've lost 28 pounds. Nothing to frown about. But that was all in the first 4 1/2 weeks. For 2 1/2 weeks I've been stuck. Being this close out, at first I thought it was the famous "3 week stall" come a little late. But, alas, no movement. Now, I work out 4 to 5 days a week. Both cardio and weight training. Wanted to tone to minimize loose skin while I dropped. I burn at least 700 calories during workouts. I eat only Protein... Ie: chicken breast, shrimp, eggs, turkey, and Protein shakes. I make my shakes with light silk for added protein and some extra calories. So now I'm up to about 600 calories give or take, no more than 20 carbs, no more than 20 grams of fat, and usually about 70 grams of protein. My calories when this started was 400 or less. This started when I was still on full liquids. If anyone can think of something to push me out of this, let me know. I'm at a loss.

The inside won't change. The outside should become less... "Poofy". So as to worrying about losing the "inner goodness" don't worry. It will be just as good. -

That might work Favoredone. I have just been making sure I get protein in first. I do get some good carbs in. Just remember on days in atkins that me and carbs aren't real good friends(though I love them so lol)

Thanks Lissa. You are always a voice of reason. Trying to do everything right. I don't stray. So just confused. I will try adding more calories. It's feels like I'm eating all day to get what I do get.

Not Trying To Be Grose But...
Star1221 replied to weight_no_longer's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I've never thrown up. This is not typical. Now I have seen that a lot of people have. My sleeve just won't let me eat that much. I know I'm done either by a hickup or I have a slight cramp in my stomach. Just eat slow and the moment you THINK you might be full, stop. -

I am going through the same thing right now. Been stuck since 5 weeks out. I am almost 7 now. I upped my calories to about 600, bust it in the gym 5 days a week, usually get all my water in, limit carbs (they don't like me anyways). Stuck. Frustrated as well. Especially when everyone who was sleeved around the time I was is kicking booty and I am having to kick and fight for every pound. I am with you honey.

Can't Take The Protein Drinks, Also Getting Dehydrated
Star1221 replied to Diane311's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
Awww honey. First I'd like to say congratulations on surgery. Second you are so new. Liquid first. Keep your self hydrated first. Protein is important. But water is more important. Try getting a protein shake in. That also counts as a liquid. Welcome to the club -
Pre-Op Diet...2Nd Day And I'm Miserable!
Star1221 replied to angelakay2's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sugar free jello. Makes you think you're eating... Did your dr not allow that? That's the only thing I've seen that most doctors allow. If not, just drink lots of water and lots of crystal light. Get several flavors to change up. You can use them after surgery too. Good luck. You got this. It's so worth it honey. -
Post Surgery Workouts?
Star1221 replied to band2sleeveinNoVA's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went to the gym 5 days a week for an hour at a time. Lots of cardio. In 4 months I lost 10 pounds. That was my decision process before having surgery. If I could lose leaps and bounds without surgery I would not have went through with it. But I did tone lots. So I had a good base to work with. I now work out at 4 am 5 days a week and see where on arms are toned. Happy I did start first, it's allowing me to do more than I ever thought I'd be able to... Jogged while pushing my daughter in her stroller tonight -
Had Surgery 5/21, No Weight Loss
Star1221 replied to alliegb3's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know it's distressing. You do something like what we've done and expect to see results quickly. You just went through surgery and are taking like 1/10th of the calories. Just give it a little longer. Stop checking your weight but once a week. My husband had to hide the scale lol. It will come off. -
I found the most tasty pesto turkey breast from Sara Lee. Got it at the deli counter. High protein. Almost no carbs (1) and tastes fantastic. Also weight watcher's has some low fat cheese sticks that are awesome. Once again, low cal, carb, and 6 grams of protein.
