This is my typical day menu: breakfast-protein shake. I workout at 4 am and to work by 6. Snack-weight watched string cheese. Lunch- 2 oz chicken, turkey, white fish or shrimp. Might be with some greens or maybe not. Snack- maybe another cheese or some rolled up lunch meat. One slice. Dinner-left over lunch lol.

I just had the best salad. It was mixed greens, goat cheese, pecans, strawberries, fat free blueberry vinaigrette. Now, I only at one strawberry, a finger full of greens and maybe about an ounce and a half of chicken. But it was great.

Anyone Start A New Job, Weeks Before Surgery?anyone Work For The City Of Ny?
Star1221 replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You need to let them know what's going on. That way you are honest with them. You don't have to tell them what you are having done. Only that you are having surgery and need to take x amount of time off for it. It will be covered under FMLA. -
How Soon After Sleeve Can Ya Resume High Impact Cardio?
Star1221 replied to healinghands50's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Treadmill, elliptical and, bike I was cleared in the first week. Stuff like weights, jogging, zumba, or any kind of p90x type crap was after 6 weeks. But I am sure your dr is different than mine. I would call and ask Monday to see what he says. -
Is It Gas Or Something Else?
Star1221 replied to angelakay2's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If it feels anything like when you wake up in the morning and you were starving... But the first thing you do is get a cold drink, and it cramps your stomach.. That's normal. Mine did that for a couple of weeks. I think it's like the internal feeling of getting salt on a paper cut.. lol. It's almost like your stomach seizes up. -
Crystal light or mio honey. You gotta get your liquid in. Find your favorite flavor/s and sip your heart out. The more you drink the better your feel and the more you lose. Good luck honey. And congrats on being sleeved

No More Weightloss?
Star1221 replied to Seemebetter's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you are anything like me, it took 50 pounds to really notice a difference. I just a got down to an 18 from a 22, and it was during a 3 WEEK STALL. No weight loss what so ever. But my pants fell off. Give it time. I went from 275 to 222 between pre-op diet and the last 7 weeks. You will see everything in your face and neck usually first. We didn't gain all of this weight in a month.. We sure aren't gonna lose it that fast. -
I was so excited when I stepped on the scale this morning. I don't know how I did it. Just upped my water, calories, and exercise. I guess that broke it. Hadn't lost any weight since week 4. 3 weeks worth of nothing. Then pound by pound everyday this week. 54 pounds gone forever :-)

Checking in. Start of challenge- 229. Today- 222. All of that was this week. Had been on a 3 week stall. Almost halfway there now

What The He Double Hockey Sticks

Anything that says whey protein is top notch. Your taste changes after surgery so your best bet is to buy samples and try them out. I know the market is confusing. I love chocolate, but since surgery, I can honestly tell you that it's too sweet now. I stick with vanilla or strawberry. You just have to try. Good luck :-) -
Amen... Saving money as we speak for a lift and augmentation lol. I will be a full D if not the DD I've been for 10 years... I loved my boobs. They got me shots and out of tickets lol

So I'm 7 weeks post op tomorrow. Down 32 pounds since surgery after a 3 week stall. I was talking to him about how I would love some chocolate... You know how our minds go. He jumps out with "I'll go get you a cookie, love". WTF? We just spent all this money on surgery and... Really? Hell yeah I want a cookie. But not gonna eat it. And he even brought it over... P.S. my husband is a tall, thin man that has always eaten whatever he wanted and never gain weight. He and my one year old are the reasons for the Cookies in the house.

Lose And Loose Are Two Completely Different Words
Star1221 replied to Globetrotter's topic in Rants & Raves
I got one that drives me wild and I hear it everyday at work. I'm from New York but moved to Mississippi. I have a BA in psychology so I decided to be an operations manager at a call center (yeah... ). So, I have to listen to calls to make sure the agents are with in guidelines and this is what I hear at the end of every call... "Is there anything else I can help you with ON today ma'am?" On today? What does that mean? -
Mine have definitely shrunk. Or deflated lol. And does not help that everyone is like "you look great. But your boobs are getting smaller too". 5 people this past week lol

New Here And 7 Days Post Op.....

No honey. You're doing find. The first week is when you're losing fluid weight from the hospital and not getting anything in. I gained 10 pounds in the hospital. I was down six... But everyone is different. If you go through and compare yourself to everyone on this site, your feelings will be hurt daily. Everyone's journey is different. Actually take time to recognise your victories instead of loathing that you've not lost x amount of pounds. -

Feeling Defeated Due To Stall
Star1221 replied to mrsnate's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just went through this. Literally. From week 4 until 3 days ago (sleeved 4/18) I stayed exactly the same weight. I knew I was doing it right. Had not had one thing that wasn't Protein based and would help me get my goal in. But wasn't eating enough calories or drinking enough. My calories were at 300 and my Water... Maybe 40 ounces. Forced my calories and water intake to double that and lost 3 pounds in 3 day. Plus I work out everyday and chase a 16 month old. The scale will move. Promise. Just hang in there. Btw, in those 3 weeks, I went down 2 pant sizes and my arms... Yeah, they're getting cut. Stay positive :-) -
Anyone Use A Hydration Pack Or Camelbak Post Op?
Star1221 replied to Butterthebean's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Some dr's. say no straws. I was never told this. I drink everything from a straw. Also everyone said no coffee. It was brought to me for Breakfast the day after surgery while still in the hospital. Not sure why, but every dr is different -

You came to the right place if you need great advice and encouragement and booty kicking when you need it. I love it here. People are so nice, or tough love when you need it. Congratulations on being sleeved and welcome to the losers bench :-) -
