I as well was sleeved on Monday the 21st ...I also get that hunger problem water helps a lil but yogurt and "food" help longer

i was told the pain could be a couple things..acid reflux or gas ...u did get put on a acid reflux med right and is it getting better and better each day or the same?

im on liquids .is that the reason im so hungry every 20 minutes..its kind of annoying im constantly drinkin gatorade or water or jello

thanks all went under at 2:35 and woke up groggy at 6:30 i had some pretty uncomfortable pain right on my sternum no where else though but it lasted until like 11 at night ...if i lay down i get the pain every 3 or 4 minutes it lasts for a few seconds then goes away..but if i stand up or walk then that goes away but then i feel sick a lil and feeling like wanting to throw up..so right now im sitting on my bed ...just took the leak test and they said i passed that ...i got ice and i can sip on water so thats huge since i havent eaten or drank anything since 8 pm sunday so about 32 hours..oh also at night good thing i caught it ..but when tossing to my side i noticed the iv was dark ..turned on the light and found out i disconnected the iv and was bleeding all over the place through the iv that was kind of scary ..but i had a nurse come in and they gave me a new iv ...i did throw up blood last night i guess thats normal since a lil blood goes in the stomach when they perform the procedure..im feeling a lil hungry and sick so im going to relax

reason i asked is i dont want anything to go wrong here..i have only 2500 in the bank and a credit card ill be using to pay the other 5500 i owe i only have 1 card ..i lost my job may 7th but have been keeping up with all of my bills ..im going through CDL truck driving training but have no income and afraid credit card will decline my transaction when i get there..i already told them im going on vacation and mexico but didnt tell them what im doing there i just dont want anything to go wrong and get there finding out the cc wont pay because they somehow found out i no longer have a job or they see it as a medical bill or something i dont know am i overthinking this?...im afraid if i do pay upfront the doctor might not do as good a job? any advice would be appreciated

I decided to get the sleeve for a all the reasons lets be honest and post what percentages each of these made in your decision heres mine 20% vanity 60% mental 20% health for me ive never been comfortable at all with my weight ..borderline social anxiety ..if im of a "normal" size im going to have so much more confidence wether its just conversing or getting a job or anything in life..vanity yea it would be nice to buy clothes that others can and just simply look better..and im sure down the road health will be a positive as well even though as of now i have no co morbidities (sp?)

im 6 foot 500 lbs i think bmi is 65-70 something like that..my doc wants me on 2 week pre op with 1 meal replacer protein shake at each meal and all the clear liquids i want between ....only issue i have with it is this was a program built for the smaller people im at the top end of weight so im going to actually on my own go with a 3 week pre op ..wouldnt hurt ive heard others do 2 months pre op because of being too overweight so..im customizing mine starting april 30 instead of may 7..surgery date is 5-21 with dr joya in puerto vallarta

im 6 foot tall weigh right at 500 pounds..ive seen people on youtube bigger who have had vsg but theres not a hell of a lot of info out there...anything i should be concerned with and follow through with pre and post op?

think of it this way ..if u lost 10 lbs in a week after a year u would lose 500 pounds...lol ok i know its impossible but just saying....time flys..before u know it ur 6 months out and lost prob 100-150lbs

ok i had to make the title interesting so i can get responses i posted this question a day ago no responses =( prob cause i posted in wrong section but anyways lets try this again So im a much bigger guy than most im 500 lbs ..will be doing a 2 week diet which happens to be what i guess most everyone else goes with ...considering me being much bigger .should my plan be strict and the same as what someone 250 lbs would be? i know some will say contact your doctor ... i will but just curious right now ..is there a limit on how much liquids u can have?

i got word from my doc saying 1 protein shake per meal and unlimited clear liquids ...other than water what else is considered clear ..i heard jello?

ha ..gnc protein deals i actually bought 2 4 packs to get a head start on when i start my pre op..im going to be having a 4 pack each day for the 14 days along with some liquid b 12 for energy and alertness and faster metabolism for the fat..and ya im day 2 right now of cdl training..21 days to go getting nervous because monday ill be getting in and out of the trucks for the first time and as a big guy its going to be fun for others to watch im sure =(

bc powder ? i looked that up..thats only for pain how does that keep him up? im interested in the answer to this thread too since im actually going through cdl school right now and will be getting surgery right after ...i want to know realistically how long im going to need to recover before i go over the road cross country driving 6-11 hours a day

so im using an ipad 3 with a keyboard dock anyways ......ive tried everything on the keyboard and on the ipad itself but when i clicked into someones pic to enlarge it ..there was absolutely no way to bring me out of that screen and back to the forum ..i had to uninstall and reinstall the app ..not a big deal since it takes like 10seconds to do that but something that would be nice to avoid

no eveerytime i closed and reopened it pulled up the pic.

Now i hardly ever drink but based on the post just before mine i wonder now...can someone get a dui and have a higher bac with less drinks? a cop might ask how many drinks you had and if you had literally 1 drink but register near the legal limit ..they might think you are lying..eh who cares if they think your lying my main concern would be after wls does alchohol effect us differently than others ? do we get drunk faster?

surgery is scheduled on 5-21 ..im changing careers as well im going to be going to school for trucking from 4-18 to 5-18 my 2 week pre op diet has me concerned considering ill be taking final tests around that time frame when im going through lack of proper nutrition so ill probably be lethargic and wont be able to concentrate very well? AHH just figured out how to operate the alternate shift on this keyboard ...WINNING
