Does anyone happen to have Parkinson's in this group?
sgrennan posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My hubby has Parkinson's , and about to have the sleeve . Just wondering if anyone knows of anyone who may have sleeve , and how it effected them? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
My husband had surgery about 3 and a half weeks ago and eats almost nothing. Says he just can't, nothing taste good, and says he just feels full. He eat about 3/4 of a yogurt for Breakfast and maybe a few more bites of it for lunch. That's its nothing else. He does drink lots of Water. Has anyone else had this happen? He's just very weak and has no desire to try and eat. I had bypass 4 months ago and felt nothing like that. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Amount of food @ 6 months Post Op....
sgrennan replied to Thecloude1's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I'm 5 months post op and in your exact same boat. I feel like I can eat the same amount and not feel full. I do log my food into my fitness pal, and stick to around 800-1000 cal. I've lost 57 lbs. I am a band to RNY girl. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Turns out my Patches didn't cut the mustard, needed more Iron and D. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I have been using the Patches advertised on this site. I haven't hit my 3 months yet, but will soon have my blood work. Has anyone else used these, and did they work? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I'm 8 weeks out from band to RNY, for about a month now I've been getting headaches. Does anyone know why this may be? I never had headaches ever before surgery. Also some Water retention? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Former port location pain
sgrennan replied to UsernameTaken's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Mine took a full 5 weeks to go away. Like you said they really has to dig around to get that port out. I also had a nice bulge that long as well. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
I'm just 2 weeks out, but I'm wondering if there are any good choices in Protein bars? I don't want to have to order them, just something from the local market. Also, do sugar alcohols cause dumping as well? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

It's really the same pain as when you got your lap band, I felt. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I had my lap band and RNY done at the same time, as well as my gallbladder removed and hernia repair on April 12th . I may be a big wimp but it hurts! Yes the port area is a little more tender then the rest. But the pain does get so much better everyday. I'm 13lbs down in 2 weeks. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Air in my esophagus?
sgrennan replied to ambernicole22's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have that pain too, I figured it was just gas as well, I'm only 5 days out. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

I'm 5 days post op still on Clear liquids , I ended up having a second surgery 2 days after my original on the 12th. Does anyone ,when sipping fluids, get a gurgle as the Fluid is passing down and then a small burp? I'm just hoping this is normal , and that there is not another obstruction. Still sore and tired, just hoping this is swelling in my stomach too and nothing bad. I don't think I could handle another surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

If anyone can help? It'd be great ️️
sgrennan replied to befitnotskinny's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just had 2 surgeries in one week, and jokingly told the dr to push all the gas out before he closed! I think he must have listened, because 2 surgeries 2 days apart and not one gas pain! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Band to Bypass Revision Success for Super Obese?
sgrennan replied to Daenerys Targaryen's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I too am worried about this, my surgery is tomorrow . My dr said the reason for this is because the band has been resting in the same place for a long period of time causing nerve damage to that portion of the stomach. Therefore you don't get the same full feeling, and that you have to be very conscious of your portion sizes. -
Just wanted the web site that iv seen on here From several people. I have a freind who wants to have it done in Mexico. Thanks for the info. Hope everyone is haveing a great day so far!

:phanvanHas anyone ever had there band filled more than 4 cc? I am in fear of a stretched pouch. I have 3.5 ccs in my band and still really dont have much restriction. Yes I feel that golf ball feeling if i take to big a bite, but that can be on the first few bites. I know that is not my full feeling because a few bites is not enough to live on. I know sometimes i just want to finish something im eating and prob. eat too much. I have never pb'ed gotten sick or even come close. I have lost 44 lbs but i dont feel like its because of my band at all. I feel like im on a very strict diet and i have been exerciseing lots. I feel like the band is more of a mental thing for me, and i wish i could feel it working more thats why i got the band.I guess im rambling, but im scared that if i get that last fill i wont have anywhere to go from there.

Im all about turkey meat now. Before i would have never tried it, We also ate lots of hambuger, thats all my dh will eat. Now he is rather upset with my cooking, he rufuses to eat turkey. You really cant tell the differ. when you make it with taco mix or red suace. They also have wolf brand tykey cillie and you CANNOT tell a differ. So much lees fat and cals.

A size 10 band only hold 4cc of saline. A size ten does not mean 10 ccs. That is what my dr has told me. I did hear that you could streatch that a bit and put just a bit more in. I hope they can hold more im already up to 3cc and have very little restriction.
