TWEEZERS!!! Pardon my language but ARE YOU SHITTIN ME?!?!?! I would sooner tidy up with a razor or machete before I use tweezers. If im going to yank the hair out it sure as hell wont be one at a time!!! :laugh: well I was a big girl yesterday and called and made an appointment for Saturday to get a bikini wax and I told the girl if I can talk myself into it I will do the Brazillian but I will see how that goes :thumbup:. If im not ready for another trip before vacation - which is one month from now - then I will just figure something else out. thanks for all your help Kiki. ohh one more question do they wax the hair under your belly button on your belly? or am I the only one with this hair??!?!?! :confused2:

oops I have another question - How often do should you get waxed? I was thinking of trying it out before my vacation and then again just before I go but I leave in about a month so if i do it now will I be ready to do it again?

CONGRATS TRISHA!!!! My nerves were fine until I got on the operating table and my eyes started crying out of nowhere. the nurse and doctor rubbed my arm and said it would be ok and 2 seconds later I was knocked out and the next thing I remember is waking up. what doctor are you using if you dont mind me asking?

links im the same as you...my boobs have been the same size since I was like 10. They were big then when my body was smaller but now they are just small.

as of right now I am 7 months out and have not needed a fill. Im sure I will need one or more in the future but so far so good for me

I have always been small chested even at my heaviest so now that I am losing weight they are getting smaller and smaller. So yes I would definitely get implants as long as finances allow when im ready for that step in my life. if they were giving them away I would be the first chick in line!!

Betty I agree that I now have more money to spend since I got a savings on my vacation. I need 3 weeks worth of clothing and supplies so any extra savings is welcome! hope all is well with everyone! that wii fitness thing sounds fun I would probably hurt myself but still sounds good...have fun!!!

Happy June everyone! I went to visit my aunt and uncle down in no man's land this weekend with my mom. we did some shopping and just a bunch of relaxing. it was such a nice weekend minus the downpours saturday afternoon. It is so quiet down by them and can get a little scary when im the only one awake in the house and you cant see a damn thing outside!! but it was a good weekend. I got great news on my upcoming vacation to DR. there is a resort the my friend and I really wanted to stay at but it was more expensive so we booked at a different one. well i have been checking the price everyday for the last month and it has always been more money at one point I was just going to break down and book the more expensive one but at that point the price went up even more!! So I checked it on saturday and not only had the price gone down but it was even cheaper then the one we originally booked. so I cant my agent ASAP and he was like we are closing in 7 minutes but I will try to book the new one and then cancel the old one and call you back to confirm. I was bouncing around the house waiting for him to call back and I was chatting with my friend that is coming with me online and I wanted to tell her so bad but I didnt want to get her hopes up. so as we were talking the agent called me back and confirmed that he was able to change it so in the middle of my conversation with Karolina- my friend - I was like I have awesome news. And when I told her she was like How? what? are you kidding??? so it was really good news for us...YAY ME!!! :-) now I just need to make our final payment to the agent this week and we are all set. I have been trying to get some shopping done for it little by little but this is the one time that weight loss is being a pain in my booty. I dont want to buy anything now and then have it not fit when we are leaving. so we are going to make a shopping schedule for when she comes home - she is teaching in poland right now and will be coming home 1 week before we leave. so we will be shopping for 3 weeks worth of supplies in a 1 week period. goodthing we both love to shop!! sorry im rambling im just very excited about this trip. have a great day!!

I am a about 6 1/2 months out and have yet to have a fill but I do have proper restriction and I was wondering if there is anyone else here that has been able to do this without a fill. There are alot of threads about fills and how many people have but I cant find a thread about not having a fill. I tried to go to a support group meeting to see if anyone there is in the same boat as me but not only was everyone 2 plus years out of surgery but I was the ONLY banded person there!! everyone else had gastric bypass so it really wasnt the support I was looking for. I keep wondering how long I can go without a fill so I was hoping to find someone that has been banded longer then me that has not had a fill yet but I would love to talk with anyone who has gone without a fill even if just 2 months. thanks! :confused2:

Oh my goodness I have collar bones, shoulder blades and 1 yes 1 chin...I will let you all come and count the chin if needed...thats how excited I am about that! :tt2: I have seen these things creeping up for sometime now but since I have not seen them since I was like maybe 10 - I was on my way up the scale at that point so I dont think that really counts - Im super excited. the next thing someone is going to tell me is that I have ribs!!! :thumbup: thanks for letting me share :eek:

thanks all!! aubrie I do the same thing with my legs now that I can cross them. I am also always touching my collar bones when I sit at my desk. Its like I dont believe that they are actually there!

jamd I am 6 1/2 months out and have not had a fill and I am continuing to lose about 2 pounds a week. My thoughts are why get a fill now when I am doing just fine and losing. I would rather save the room in my band for when I stop losing and need the extra help. I dont have any problems eating anything but I do it all in small portions. Are you eating just 3 meals a day or do you have Snacks?

Pwn Red I eat 3 meals a day and have a mid morning snack of a Protein Shake and then and late afternoon snack of a piece of fruit and that seems to work for me. I would guess that my calories are around 1200 a day and I work out 5 days a week.

michelle I totally agree with not getting a fill if its not needed so that I will have more room to play with when/if I do need to start getting fills. My weight loss is an average of about 9lbs a month which I am extremely happy with! Congrats on your weight loss

thanks salsa its comforting to see that I am not the only one. My doctor never even suggested a fill in my 3 post op visits and at the last one he said it was up to me and just to call when I wanted one. well that was 5 months ago and I still havent called. I hoping I can continue on this path for many more months

Mariem I have BCBS of NJ and all plans and states are different but I didnt need 5 years of weigh ins. I did need 6 months of a doctor supervised diet which I would suggest you start now. I started mine before I even picked my surgeon because I knew it was a requirement. I also didnt have any "proof" of having tried various diets, pills and gym memberships. I would call them as soon as your insurance switches over but my advise would be to start the 6 months now. good luck

most doctors wait 6 weeks before giving a fill. your doctor most likely told you "it depends" because if your weight loss is going good, youre feeling good and youre not getting the hungry feeling then he/she may not give you a fill. Everyone is different when it comes to fills so listen to your body and dont get a fill just because you think you have to.
