Jimmy dean's breakfast bowls are pretty good. Very high in portei . You get the egg but it's mixed in wih other things. I have gotten to the point that I can barely stomach eggs on their own so this helps mix it up a bit for me.

LOVE veggie straws! I sometimes dip them in the low cal laughing cow cheese and it's great. Like Mis said, it's a lot of straws so it makes it feel like you've eaten a fairly big snack wihout all the calories and carbs that go with it.

Hello fellow lapbanders! I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of the weightloss "drug" Ace? I'm not a fan of weightloss pills in the slightest, but I have heard this is a natural way to assist in the body burning fat. A friend mentioned it to me yesterday and said that she has dropped 2-3 dress sizes since the summer has started when she began taking Ace. I googled it and didn't really find any detailed information on this product as far as if it's an appetite suppressant or just a Vitamin type thing. I'm hoping she isn't taking anything that would harm her body. Any info anyone has on it would be great to hear for research's sake. Thanks!

Need Doc in Greensboro/High Point for fills
RenaeP77 replied to elaine3758's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I know an amazing Dr. In Cary, NC. That's probably a bit if a hike for you though. His name is Dr. Enochs. He did my surgery and I can't say enough nice hinge about him. I hope this helps. If not, good luck on your search. I wonder if worse comes to worse the ER could do a slight unfill for you. It's not good to be in the red zone for a long time. -
Oh my gosh... It's as if I wrote this. Very similar symptoms here as well. Going to the Dr. Monday. How long have you been banded? I'm sorry if that info is posted and I asked anyway (I'm limited on what I can see with my app). I've been wondering about a slip too. I'm hoping it's nothing on either one of our parts and it's just a body changing thing that all we need is a small fill or something. I know that different stages in the month can cause the band to be tighter or looser.

Has Anyone Tried Sugar Free/ Low Carb No Bake Cookies?
RenaeP77 posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've been searching for a sugar free / low carb no bake cookie recipe and figured this site would be a great place to ask. Does anyone have such a recipe that they've actually tried and eaten that they liked? I've googled a few but figured I would see if anyone "real" has had some other than taking the cooking sites word for it. Thanks! -
Chicken Parmesan Meatloaf "muffins"
RenaeP77 replied to bamagal35007's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I can't wait to try these! I've been in a rut with meals and it's made me drift a little off track. This seems easy and delicious. Just what I need to get back on track and out of my rut. Thanks so much for sharing! -

Has Anyone Else Had An Unfill Then Refill To Get No Restriction?
RenaeP77 posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I had a complication about 3 weeks ago. I got some salmon stuck and threw up for over 2 hours. My surgeon's office told me to come in right away. He ended up having to take all my Fluid (4.5 cc's) out so I could have a few days to get rid of the inflammation. I was pretty restricted for a few days after because of all the swelling so I'm very glad he chose to take the fluid out. A week later I went back to the office and he put 4 cc's back into my band. Well since then I have basically no restriction. I can eat ANYTHING I want and A LOT of it! It's almost as if I dont' even have the band. When I had 4 cc's before I was pretty close to the green zone and the 4.5 cc's was pretty on the spot if not slightly over filled. I'm really confused that I could go from such great restriction to getting basically the same amount of fluid put back in and get no restriction. I'm back in bandster hell again. I don't go to the Dr. again until the middle of September so I'm not sure if I should go in early or wait it out. Has this ever happened to anyone before to get a "refill" to have it feel like nothing? Of course my mind wanders and I think a slip or something, but he said when I was in that it looked great under floro. Any help would be really appreciated! -
Has Anyone Else Had An Unfill Then Refill To Get No Restriction?
RenaeP77 replied to RenaeP77's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Before my salmon incident, with the band, I couldn't eat any breads (unless they were toasted bagel thins). I couldn't have rice or left overs especially chicken. I was also hit or miss with some pastas. Now I am able to have all those things and I can eat a rather large plate before becoming anywhere near satisfied I'm not even close to the restriction I had when I was at 4 cc's before. So I've had to basically do it on my own the last couple of weeks. I'm sorry this is happening to you, too and good luck as well! The lapband sure is a journey of ups downs and learning curves for sure! I was just worried something could be wrong and wondered if this was normal. Sorry you are going through something similar but glad I'm not alone. -
I signed in to my LBT app (as I do often) and when I signed in yesterday everything was different. It used to take me to all the newest topics that I hadn't seen since my last visit. Now it's taking me to topics that haven't had responses since 2009 and 2011. There is no particular order to them and the dates are all off. I can't even find where anyone has done any new activity at all. I checked my settings and it's set to find the newest activity. I also deleted the app and re-installed. That didn't do the trick either. Am I the only one experiencing this? Also if this was already a topic sorry for the duplicate as I can't see any new topics. I had to go on the computer to even write this. Thanks for any help! Hope everyone is having an awesome weekend!

You're doing the right thing by chewing your food to mush. I get in trouble when I eat too fast or take too big of bites. I can eat everything mostly except bread (but I can do bagel thins) and rice by itself ( I can have it if very little is mixed with something like veggies) I wasn't getting stuck until this last fill. I have to really watch my bites. I was banded just before you and am at almost the exact weight loss as you are. today was the worst. I reheated salmon and ate too big of a bite and got stuck BAD! Threw up for over 2 hours and had to go in and have my Fluid removed today. Very bummed! It sounds like you're paying much better attention and doing it the right way! My Dr. told me you should never feel your band unless you've done something wrong.(too much too fast wrong foods etc...) Good job on what you're doing!!

I LOVE them! I dip them in the 35 cal laughing cow wedge. That gives it a tiny bit of protein. So good!

Help! My Co-Works Are Trying To Talk Me Out Of It.
RenaeP77 replied to cassiem93's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I bet most of them don't have a weight problem. That's my favorite when thin people have all the answers on weight when they've never struggled. -
I'm with you gale1016! That's one hing I've been dying to achieve for years. Hoping the band helps me reach that goal. My husband says I'm obsessed about waning to see my collarbone lol congrats ... And congrats to you all! NSV's are awesome!

How Many Carbs Is Low Carb? How Much Fat?
RenaeP77 replied to Robin4d's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My doc has me on 80-100 g oh protein a day and allowed 100 g of carbs but he said the key is blood sugar. Anything higher than 10 g of sugar or 20-25 g of carbs per meal will spike it causing no weight loss so that's what I stay under and I get awesome results but ever persons body is different. Staying at 100 g of carbs per day keeps me from being deprived while still keeping it low. -
My port scar is a couple inches from where my Dr puts the needle in. The first fill I was puzzled as to why he was so low. He must have had it right since he too takes the fluid out and puts it back in to make sure he's in the right place. They deal with several bands all day long but if you are concerned I would ask them.

I've always heard a cup per meal as well until my Dr. told me to throw out the measuring cup and to simply look at my hand. Place it palm side up and fingers together. He said to eat a piece of meat/protein that is the size of my palm and eat veggies the size of my four fingers. He also said to eat the protein first of course then the veggies. So far it's been working for me. I guess it's kind of 6 in o e and a half dozen the other.

Great job! Keep up the awesome work!
