It's Allie's turn for plastics!
skinnyjeans replied to allielee's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hi Allie, Sorry about loosing the baby. That is quite a deal. My son too will be going off to college in the fall. I am up 6 lbs. and it's been a struggle. I've been so busy with his senior year that I haven't exercised since my surgery. I know you will get back on track. You are not in this alone. That is what is great about this site. We've all had our ups and downs and thank God we have each other to get through it. We are here for you. Don't forget that. -
Great advice Doddie, I haven't been on here much lately. Life has been busy. I have fallen out of habit of journaling and haven't been to gym in awhile. I also need a fill. I do love my band and am glad I made this decision. It has not been easy but we knew it wouldn't be. I still hope to loose 15-20 lbs but am also happy where I am. They extra lbs are to be healthier.

3 Year Round-Up for Feb07 Bandsters

Hi Rebecca, Sorry you are having problems with band. I remember following some of your earlier posts. I had to have an unfill a month ago and need to go back for fill. Ate something that got stuck. Didn't throw up, but it was painful. Was out of town and when got back here made appt. I kept hoping it would pass, but didn't. I'm very thankful I decided to make appt, because my esophugus was starting to dialiate?? anyways, so I put on 6lbs in last two weeks. mainly just bad food choices and able to eat a lot more. I finally started back to exercising last week. Feel so much better when I do, but my body is sore. -
Kate's "The Works" special

HI Kate, So glad you are feeling back to normal. Hope the phone screen goes well. I know it's hard being home. Just keep funneling that time into developing yourself. Do all the things you never got to do because you were busy working. Glad the band is working for you too. What a relief after all you had to go through last time. I'm with Mimi, can't wait to see some new pics. I know you're just as beautiful as ever. -

3 Year Round-Up for Feb07 Bandsters

Hi Everyone! I too need to get back on track. I had to have a partial unfill a few weeks ago. Was having bad acid reflux again and something got stuck, so now I think i'm only at 1.9cc (4cc band). So basically I really don't have much restriction. Haven't been able to have good restriction since 2008 without getting acid reflux. I had TT and BA in November and hadn't exercised until yesterday. I'm so sore. Before TT i was exercising 5x week to be in best shape for TT. I hope to get back there, but it has been hard to get motivated. We're taking a cruise in June so want to be down 15-20lbs. The TT/BA for me was a lot easier surgery than the lap band. I have been struggling with my food choices since the unfill. Haven't been journaling and this has always helped. I gain/loose the same 3lbs so maintaining but need to loose. I am committed to getting these lbs off. I love to eat cheese and chips, popcorn, ice cream. I really need to stay away from these. I do fairly well at work, but when I get home I start grazing. I also have started to eat again when I'm not hungry. Why is it so hard to do what is right? Happy Bandiversary. Glad we all have each other. -

Ohm, Wishing you a speedy recovery -
I had my eyeliner (top/bottom), eyebrows and full lips (done 2x). I love it. It makes getting ready in morning so fast and when working out no smears. Lips are very natural color( didn't go dark). Only wear clear gloss. For me eyes were more painful than lips. I think this is because the numbing stuff didn't have enough time to act before she got started. She was licensed and very good, clean/sterilie and highly recommended. Been doing it years. It doesn't take long either. It was $350 for me to have all 3 done, in Lubbock Tx. This was 2 years ago. My mom, sister and me had our perm makeup done on same day. It was fun. I'm not sure I'd have eyes done again. But who knows,. No pain/no gain.

Barbee, You're pictures are amazing transformation. Mimi is right. You are still healing and it will be awhile before you will see the final product. It is hard to deal with the new body and don't let your friend get you down. Seeing your old pics helps really see the transformation and don't dwell on the little imperfections. She probably wouldnt have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out. I do this myself and need to stop doing that. Be proud of what you have accomplished.

did you have your port moved?
skinnyjeans replied to wannabthinagain's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I didnt have my port moved with TT. It's lower left side like yours. It doesn't show now. I'm not as thin as you are though. Can you see yours now? I did want to switch to lower profile but wasn't able to get band dr. and ps scheduled at same time. If you can do that it would save you $ with lapband dr. -

Allie, Your thighs look great. The scar is nice. I wasn't sure what you meant reading your earlier post about what the scar would look like. I was expecting multiple scars for some reason. What about the back side? you have incisions there too? Hang in there, soon you will be out your cabin. Remember you are healing and want the best results. Not to rush things. -
HI Barbee, so happy to hear you are doing well. I was surprised too how long drain was. I didn't see it but my mom was with me and showed me how long it was. Funny how swelling does move down. My hubby renamed my woo hoo during that time to "FAT CAT" Take care

Oh Allie, Sorry you daughter bailed. Try to have Snacks upstairs so you don't go starving. I can't wait to see some pics of your itty bitty thighs. Hope you get some better pain meds. Nightmares are no fun. Keep resting and healing -
I had a consult I think back in May/June and it's finally here. Surgery is Thursday 11/12 and I can't believe it. I'm having a breast aug and extended tummy tuck. I went today for my un-fill. I'm a little worried because now I think my band may have a leak. I knew I had been able to eat a lot more since a fill in Aug (thankfully didn't gain, but didn't loose). I have my fills under flouro everytime and supposedly I was at 4cc (i have 4cc band) but NP was only able to pull out 1.6cc. I hope they just messed up at last fill. I won't know though until I can get fill again. Anyways back to PS. I'm super excited. Will be staying the night in hospital since having both procedures at once. I will have a pain pump. Husband it staying with me and my mom and dad will be coming next week to stay a week. My son is a teenager so he is pretty much self sufficient. I'm taking off through Thanksgiving and hope this will be enough time. I have a desk job. I'm worried about the pain but feel the extra $ on pump will help a lot. Over 11 years ago I had a breast reduction and didn't get very good advice from my PS. I was young and was just tired of my big boobs. Went from DDD to B. We'll after gaining 60 lbs and now loosing they look flat on top. I'm a 38C but that is mainly from the side fat boob. I'm only going to a D but Dr. said I could easily be DD. I just dont' want to be that. Been there done that. Just need a little more on top. I'm currently in a size 12 pants (started out tight 20w) and was able to fit a 10 the other day. I still have 15 lbs to loose to get to goal. Dresses I wear 14 (broad shoulders/back) and tops PL. I'm 5'2 and 160. I carry my weight in my belly and can't wait to join the flatlands. I have learned so much from you all. I debated about starting this thread but felt if I can play it forward than I will. Matter of fact it took me 15 min to figure out to even start a thread. I only did this once when first banded in 2007. Here's a link to some pics hubby took. http://www.makemeheal.com/pictures/breast-augmentation-implants/tt-ba-a10474 PW -- byebyerolls

Skinnyjeans turn for a flat tummy
skinnyjeans replied to skinnyjeans's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Had my 10 week checkup today with surgeon. Time sure did go by fast. Everything is healing perfectly. The little bit of puckering on right side under boob, we'll wait and see what happens. Hope it will smooth out over time. It happend because of my previous reduction. There was less tissue to work with when he had to stitch back up. I have the all clear to start exercising. I feel like i've become so lazy though I hope I can get motivated to get back at gym. I'm super busy at work and my son plays varsity soccer so we have games 2x week and tournaments over weekend. I love my flat tummy. Still have some swelling especailly end of day. Boobs also look great. I still have some discomfort sneezing/coughing and stretching. Sitting for long periods at time, when I get up, everything is so tight. Takes me a few seconds to stand back up fully. I need to make another appt for a fill because eating more than 1c, but also been having that acid reflux again. It's bothersome, but I'd rather loose these last 15 lbs. so on nightly meds to help. Happy Monday everyone! -
Fanny Moves to Phase Two
skinnyjeans replied to Fanny Adams's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
worker, having an unfill depends on your surgeon. SOme will take take all out for preacautionary reasons, because swelling is so bad, others say leave it in. I didn't gain any weight being unfilled and was unfilled 3 weeks. You don't have much of appetite after surgery and it depends on how you handle food. I had been in maintenance for so long that I pretty much knew what I could eat and how much to keep from gaining. -
Barbee, Hope all went well. Rest up and heal and stay on top of those pain meds. You are going to look fabulous.
