It's Allie's turn for plastics!
skinnyjeans replied to allielee's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Allie, I'm scheduled 11/12 for TT and BA. I still on the line about the BA, but think once the tummy is gone, I will really want the boobs looking better. I'm having it done in Denton,TX and will be staying night in hospital. I'm getting anxious and nervous. My DH opened up tonight and said he's really scared about me having this done. Before he said he was allright with it but didn't understand why, but now he's saying he's really not all right. worried something bad will happen. I explained that i'm healthy, no underlying conditions and everything will be fine. -

I will definitely check into the lymphatic massage. Did it hurt any?
-
Mini, You look great. I know what you mean about tucking in the shirt. Glad the drains are gone. I can't wait to hear about how the massages work out.

skinnyjeans replied to BarbBee's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hi Barbee, Just read your question on Dr. Shulman. I'm sorry to hear about surgery. Hope your Iron improves. Small step back but it will happen. Keep positive. Tiffany -
Laura, Wow. You look fabulous. I can tell a difference from seven weeks to now. So 3 months of swell. Ugh. Still amazed in the difference of your before. I really hope my results are this great. Yay, I know you are excited to see grandson and released for exercise.

Potatie starts her PS journey
skinnyjeans replied to potatie's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hi Katie, Congrats on your weightloss and PS scheduling. I'll be waiting to hear of your journey. I plan to have TT and BA on 11/12. That is nice you can take short term dis. What a great benefit. -
glad swelling going down. I like to eat popcorn too. My son is constantly eating it. went out of town this weekend and family kept saying how skinny I am. I guess all the exercise is paying off. It was nice to hear compliments. My tummy doesn't seem as huge either. Doing lots of crunches. Still have those darn saddle bags though. My sister is only 10 lbs lighter than me so trying really hard to get to her weight.
-
Hi Laura, Sorry to hear about the swelling. No fun. I heard desk jobs cause more swelling and that's all I do at work. Are you still in compression garment? I bet it's not as bad as you think.
-
I've received several quotes DFW Tx area and they have ranged from 6,400-13,000 for TT Depends also if you want lipo of flanks and other work. I decided to go with my last consultat and for TT and BA with overnight stay in hospital & pain pump will be $12,050. TT alone is #6,400, Mimilou you are right those implants aren't cheap.

Time does fly. Can't believe it's already been 6 weeks. why oh why do we have to swell. Low sodium will be a challenge for me but you have given me great advice and I feel confident I can do great as you have. Soon you'll be able to lift and get back in the swing of things and most important pick up your grandbaby. YAY!

Long time lurker, first time poster with surgery date!
skinnyjeans replied to Megan9463's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I like the muscle milk light. No problems with them at all. Didn't like EAS. Also like Atkins -
Laura, Hope you had a good day. Was it hard to work all day? I finally did it. Called and scheduled my surgery. Nov 12th is the day. I was nervous making the call and almost backed out, thinking I shouldn't be spending that much on me. I started feeling like I wasn't going to get off these last 15 lbs. Then I sucked it up and said I can have that which I truly want and called. I've been listening to these CD's (self help) and we're supposed to tell ourselves that 2x day for rest of our lives. Told hubby I scheduled and he said ok. I'll ask off. My mom said she'll come down and help me too. She's been very supportive. I told her of my hesitation and fears and she re-enforced this is right for me.

Pain in lower left abdomen! Very Nervous!!
skinnyjeans replied to isaviolinist's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Glad to hear all went well. The band can be finicky. Just have to learn how your body reacts to it. -
Did you get all rested from Sunday? That is funny about your insurance. When are you going to post more pics? I really have enjoyed following your journey. Thank you for your help and advice. I will definitely be using it come Nov. You have a very kind spirit.
-
That is wonderful you can take 3 weeks off. I bet you were wiped out. Did your insurance cover your panni? Mine denied me. My PS was referred by my band dr. so he has experience working on lapband too. That is a big concern for me too, messing with the port or pulling on the tubing. My port is lower left abdomen. I can't wait to buy some sexy underware.

Yay Laura, Exciting to buy those smaller clothes. I started at a tight 20w and now a 12. Would love to be a 10 or 8. I was wondering how long you took off from work. I plan to only take two weeks off but my third week will be during thanksgiving so will only work 2 1/2 days. I hope I'm up for it though. I am having a TT and BA. I had a breast reduction 11 years ago before I gained a bunch of weight. Now that I lost boobs are flat and skin stretched from weight gain. Need a bit more on top Did you take Vitamins before the procedure (bromelean, Biotin, arnica (whatever that is)?
-
Laura, You look fabulous. I'm really considering scheduling mine in Nov.Just trying to work out all the numbers. My son and husband graduate next year and we planned a cruise out of Rome and wasn't planning on PS this year with the cruise, but want it so BAD.... My hubby sounds a lot like yours. He loves me as I am and don't understand why I want to change, but he's okay with me having PS. Thank you for sharing your journey. Our stats are not that far off. It's funny how God created us all different. There is no way I could fit in a 10 dress. I'm so broad up top i barely fit a 14.

Stay on those pain meds so you can heal.. No need to rush it.
